Preface
This guide is for those that want to achieve this achivement for the sole purpose of 100% completion of this game, here on Steam, without any 3rd party programs. The guide is otherwise not relevant for you.

Why would Square Enix impose such a inane feat? Perhaps the developers felt that artificially outputting high "gameplay hours" on this Steam remake will merit a bigger pay raise. Or perhaps it will merely satisfy the executives, enough to not get themselves fired. Whichever the case, these b@stards affected us, the completionist gamers, and now we are here today to go after this achievement.
The Set-Up
At this point, this guide assumes the player has completed his/her desired task and is solely aiming to finish this achievement. Whether you are completeting this achievement first, or last.

Knowledge of Job Levels
Understanding the growth of Job Classes in FF3 in important because you will realize how easy it actually is to level jobs. I highly recommend this multilingual guide here on Steam's FF3 community for a more in-depth look on maximizing your efficiency when leveling all four characters. To summarize the referenced guide:

http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=274741499
  • Job leveling is based on the number of actions performed by the character during that job.
  • This job exp will accumulate with each Action you make (Attack, Magic, Guard, Item, etc.)
  • You can only gain one job level per person, per battle.
  • Each job has different amounts of job exp required to level up.
  • See guide for full list of "amount of job action exp required for each job".

Configurations
Before we start 'fighting' a buncha monsters for the next hundreds of hours, some pre-configurations will fractionally cut the time needed to complete this.

In the game's launcher menu, select a relatively smaller Resolution, other than the max. Choices will differ depending on monitors. Next, uncheck the following:

In the game's in-game menu , go to 'Config' and you will want to set everything as follows on Config 1:

Every second matters to us as we waste as little as possible getting making this grind. Faster text, same cursor spot, and running makes a difference in saved seconds of our life. Minimized resolutions & background unpause allows us to multitask.

Hunting/Camping Spot
The best place to level Job Classes is no doubt the starting area of the game. This include's the main chacter's home town (free resting area) and the surrounding forest areas chock-full of level 1 monsters.
Do This 1000+ Times
Example: You are beginning this epic grind as Freelancer, the first job you recieve in the game. All 4 heroes are switched to this job. Equipment is optional, especially if this is done late-game where the monsters will barely phase you. Equiping also wastes time. Pulling data from the referenced guide, it takes 5 actions for the Freelancer job to level up once.

You will roam around the starting area and hunt for random monster encounters. Once engaged, you will use the "Defend" action for all four characters for 5 turns. Killing the last monster with one character while defending with the rest (on the 5th turn!) will gurentee a level up.

This action is to be repeated for all 24 classes, all to level 99, for all 4 characters.
Multi-Tasking
By the time you near level 99 with your first job set, you will most likely have gotten used to the leveling groove. You can literally look away and mindlessly tap the "Confirm" button while you go do something else. Doing something else while "defending" and killing monsters is the key to overcoming this long grind. Here are some things to do while multitasking this grind; including peripherals that can comfortably aid you through this grind (these are all optional and in no way required to help obtain the achievement):

PC/XBOX 360 Controller:
If you have been playing this game on keyboard & mouse, a controller can really comfy things up. Your fingers will not start feeling well after a couple hours spamming a button in the same position. You can relax on a couch or your bed while in a more comfortable position, assuming your corded controller is long enough, or better yet, you have a wireless controller. You can walk around or do minor excercises. The plug-and-play controller support is great, but some people may run into technical issues that are variable for every different computer.

Minimized Game/Second Monitor
Since we are on Steam, this guide assumes the players reading are on a PC/Mac, and running decent hardware with multiple CPU cores for multi-task operations. A minimzed windowed game while "unpause game while running in the background" will allow us to multitak on our PC while leveling in this game. Quick "alt+tab" skills can be easily utilized for max efficiency as we spend only the required seconds to issue actions to our characters. Then while the characters are doing their animation, we go back to what we were doing. A second monitor allows us to leave the game on that monitor while we do our own thing on the main monitor. Activities include:
  • watching & streaming a show/movie/anime/e-sports
  • online shopping/researching/reading
  • playing another game
  • draw & designing
  • create video game guides
  • etc.

Youtube or Twitch.tv is loaded with free entertainment. Paid streaming services (Netflix, Hulu) are convenient if you or family has already replaced TV with internet. Watching allows us to stay active on the FF3 game, while we you can still watch the show.

Games like Counter-Strike or DOTA2 is a great game to get some grind in between waiting for death respawns (and any other game similar). Valve games such as these may also net us some steam credit from selling virtual loot.

Please ensure to multitask easy tasks. Multitasking important tasks is not encouraged as inaccuracies with your tasks may happen.
The Test of Discipline
On the surface of the achievement, it's an absolute time sink. To demand us players that significant amount of time to repetitivly level up. This is where the difficulty of this achievement is; dedicating your precious time to obtain this achievement.

But this attitude is different for every gamer, some just MUST ACHIEVE. Another perspective on this achievement would be that it's actually one of the easiest achievement in the game. It's just repeated actions, but many times.

This guide's method will not only train your willpower to focus on a boring task, but while also completing another task at the same time.

An easy achievement. A completionist mentaility. The ability the multitask.

These factors aid your ability to endure this feat quickly. And once you do,

Congratulations!

The achievement should be to master all the jobs period, not master all the same jobs for every character. It is succinctly put, inane. All the other achievements make sense.

If you want to skip the grind altogether, you might as well just download my savefile.
Here's a guide providing a few links and the instructions on how to use it:

One thing that made this bearable for me is that I will level all 4 characters with the same job, and then go look for The Legendary Smith so she can give me my cool gear and Job card. It does take away from grind time, butit does "recharge your batteries" when you see that your hard work has been rewarded.

Thanks for the good write up! I was trying to understand the principals at hand in another guide- as this is my first FFgame. You made things very clear with the listed stats in the thread you referenced. I was stuck on Medusa, and want to level what jobs I have for versatility before giving it another try. Looks like I'll do it in sections. :KneelingBow:
