Pyro Flare gun

Pros:

Flares perfectly bounce off the first surface they hit.
Minicrits on burning targets.
Minicrits on ricochet hits (the flare reaches its target after bouncing off a surface).
Full crits on ricochet hits on burning targets.

Cons:
Does not fullcrit all burning targets (the way normal flare gun does)

What does that mean for gameplay?

Allows the weilder to deal more damage to targets on the ground by aiming below their feet for the bounce.
Gives a bit more reach via the bouncing mechanic (might hit someone behind cover with a well aimed ricochet shot), allows jump boosting by aiming at the ground when jumping (the flare bouncess back into the player, giving a small vertical boost at the cost of health).
Makes Puff&sting airblast combos less effective (it'd be impractical to shoot ricochet shots at an airborne target).

What does that mean for game balance?

Encouraging the harder, airblastless shots not only makes the pyro strive to improve their projectile aim, but also opens counterplay options that airblast combos didn't (namely, movement). The pyro is rewarded for that with better damage on non-burning targets and additional utility.

Model uses two (red, blu) 512x512 textures with alpha phong maps.

Model uses LODs.
