Well, do you have this server that you really like and want to be a staff rank. If you don't then get the ♥♥♥♥ out but if you do then keep reading. It is never an easy process to become accepted as a moderator for the server and will take some time so don't expect to come into a server and instantly get mod with these steps. First of all you must find a server that you enjoy playing on, if you don't enjoy playing on it and you just want a rank so it will become enjoyable then don't try. The thing is you usually have to have a fair bit of playtime before you can become a staff member so you should try racking up some playtime on the server and get well known by its community. Some servers have requirements to get accepted so make sure you read them all before trying to make an application.

Now in servers you should talk a fair bit, not too much because you will just become annoying but use voice chat and say funny stuff and try make friends. If you talk enough the admins will not notice you; YOU WANT THEM TO NOTICE YOU. If you play enough on the server it is most likely that people will start recognizing you more and you will feel more 'accepted'. If you are a kid then you should still talk but mabye not as much if you have a very high pitched voice... There will always be those people on the servers that will flame you for being a 'twelvie' but who cares? Those guys are just douchebags, you may find some servers that have alot of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ but if you play it cool and are funny with what you say and do then they will sometimes usually like you. This has worked for me and even though I have hardly been moderator I have still made friends with HEAPS of admins.

Now... usually the servers have a template, if you want to get in use the template or it will just be denied instantly. Some servers will have very extensive questions that are very silly to ask such as situations, it is OK to reference other applications that have been accepted for some help with these (just don't make it obvious that you have referenced someone elses application). Make sure you do not copy anyones application if it does not a have a template make your own you lazy whale. Make sure you include good grammar and also honest information about yourself. Now some templates may ask questions like 'What is your experience with FAdmin' and that other one that everyone uses. The one that everyone uses is simple as hell, all you need to do is open its HUD and then it will give you the commands, FAdmin is a bit tricky as it has console commands but the server most likely doesnt use FAdmin. Look up videos if you need to on how to use these tools.

Just be normal, just keep playing as normal just deal with rulebreakers and help people with complaints. Sometimes it helps to help people before you get the rank to for a bit of help with the application.
