Black Heart Chapter 2 boss guide.

Welcome to my short guide for the first major boss in the game that usually is a trouble point for new players. This guide will cover preparation, and how to go about doing the fight.

Note that this boss fight occurs directly after the Story boss, "Phoenix" with no chance to save or do anything in between. So be ready.

Preparation
Combos/Characters
---
You can do whatever you prefer here, generally Neptune is your damage dealer, IF is your support/guard breaker and Compa is the healer that you want to keep back.

If you have DLC, this gets thrown for a loop as the DLC characters are strong.

Items/Levels
---

You want a bare minimum of:
---
- All characters level 10-12
- Life rings on everybody, these can be bought at the store for 5000 credits, credits can be easily gotten by doing the kill quest in the same are that is open to you and is easily repeatable.
- Best equips from the store for each category.
- Items such as Paralaxin, healing grass, energy fragments etc.

Recommended:
---
- All characters Level 15 with above requirements.

Now, onto the actual fight.
Battle walkthrough
---

Once the battle starts, your characters will right way be put into whatever formation you have set in the party formation setting, they will retain any damage and stats from the previous "Phoenix" fight but since they most likely leveled up they will be refilled.









As soon as the battle starts, move her back to be a healing bot and to use items.









Have IF here go in front and spam guard break moves and her Demon Flame when guard is low.

Have Neptune/Purple Heart go in and use power and guard break attacks.



Noire/Black Heart has 3 attacks in this fight.





Hits 3 times for high damage, can paralyze. Use Paralaxin or Compa's ability to heal this.





Hits 3 times for medium damage, can poison.





She will start using this after getting below 50% HP will hit for very high damage over an area. This is why you never put your characters too close together. If compa gets hit by this shes going down.

***Attack Patterns are mostly random so don't stress it***

Once you get the Guard break guage down to 0, its time ot use your powerful attacks and do real damage.






Just rinse and repeat until you win, making sure to keep everyones Hp high enough to survive Tricolor order and keeping Compa out of range.

Conclusion






For winning this fight you get a bunch of experience and 128MB of memory for the plan system.

Does the weaken enemies plan work on her or do I have to grind my levels to fight her?

Didn't think she was that tough. Though everyone was level 13 and Neptune and IF had life rings. Awesome music, though.

Life rings increase the healing amount Compa does, since it's a percentage-based heal. Fight becomes a joke.

Buying Life Rings is the most important part. Might want to add that the DLC starting items can be sold to buy them without grinding money.
