How to Make Custom Block Textures
By Superbowl Munich and 1 collaborators
Hello and welcome to my first ever guide! Anyway, have you wanted to change the textures of the blocks and make them your own? Well, you have come to the right place. It's not that hard and it's pretty simple. NOTE: BACKUP DEFAULT TEXTURES BEFORE DOING THIS! You can't make a texture pack like you can in Minecraft. You have to replace the default textures with your custom textures. Highly recommended if you would at any time want to use the default textures again.

Step 1 - Locating the Textures
Go into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\MurderMiners\Texture. An easier way to go into the Murder Miners folder is to right click it in Steam. Then go to Properties\Local Files\Browse Local Files.
Step 2 - Editing the Textures
block_atlas.png contains the textures for the blocks. If you at any time want to go back to the default textures, I highly recommend you backup block_atlas.png. Anyway, you may use Paint to edit this. You can do other programs like Photoshop or even Paint.NET. Just open it and edit the textures you want to.
Step 3 - Loading the Game
Once you're done editing, save it and open Murder Miners. Now, enjoy your edited textures!

If you want to use the default texturs again, just replace the edited block_atlas.png with the default one. You may backup the edited one if you want to use your edited textures again.

Hope this helps!

Thank you very much for visiting my first ever guide! I was the one who found this and made this guide (even though someone else probably found out how to do this before I made this guide) and my great friend, EXtothePERT helped me with formatting and also with making the guide. I thank him a hundred times for helping me make this guide.

It should only appear for you, unless other people have the same custom textures as you.

Spooky's House of Jumpscares is on steam (its free and took me 4 mins to download, I honestly downloaded it for the textures and sounds), and I read the .txt file explaining that the textures have to be a certain size, and I remember that the textures are the exact same size as the ones in Minecraft

When I looked in the Murder Miners texures, all I saw was the block_atlas.png and a .txt file called "info" that explains how the textures should be. If you can tell me where I can get Spooky's House of Jumpscares, I could probably give you more info on the other textures. Otherwise, you will have to have a single .png file with the textures that's named "block_atlas" that's replacing the original block_atlas.png.

awesome guide, but i was wondering if you can use something other than the block atlas, an use other kinds of PNGs. If you download Spooky's House of Jumpscares and got through some of the files you can find very interesting textures and it would be great if i could substitute those textures in the atlas. And if not then do you know how to enable the alternate textures?
