The AWPer Hand was awarded in Genuine quality to players who pre-purchased Counter-Strike: Global Offensive before August 21, 2012.
It functions identically to the Sniper Rifle, except with unique firing sounds.
The description references the fact the AWP is commonly banned in Counter-Strike and Counter-Strike: Source servers.
The weapon's name is a play on "upper hand", referencing the advantage in Counter-Strike games that AWP users have, due to its immense stopping power.

I realise the description is broken in-game (probably), but I've seen it sold on TF2WH; isn't that proof enough it's tradable? Aside the fact it IS being traded?
I have just crafted an AWPer Hand with completely tradeable items and then I logged out of TF2. When I came back I saw that my AWPer Hand was no longer tradeable and I had the ability to use the restore function. Please help this may be a bug of some sort. Here is a screen shot for reference.
Some time ago I changed the article to say it's an AWSM and not an AWP, as it's incorrectly called in CS:GO, and now someone has changed it back. I'm not going to start an edit war, so I'm going to ask here: which one should it be called in the article? I'm quite sure that a wiki should strive to be as precise as possible, and thus calling it an AWP would be unacceptable. Besides, the Wikipedia article it links to states what an AWSM's and an AWP's differences are, so a reader would notice that mistake right away...
