the list below shows the skill level requirements for taming and veterinary medicine
Animal handling pets have 4 or more life charge which can been seen by mousing over the pet cage icon. the charges can be restored using the Tend Pet ability which uses 1 Bandage, but to use tend pet on a pet you have to have your veterinary medicine to the skill level for that pet as shown below.

you can have up to 3 pets out as long as you meet the skill requirements fo, and your pet cobind levels do not exceed the Pet Cap Level 20(base)+1(every 120 skill)
*example* my skill level is 1388, 1388/120=11.566. so 11+20=31 so using the list above i could have out a Alpha Calprates(20lvl) and Alpha Setling(10lvl)

when having a pet out you get a debuff

mounts do not count towards you pet count and do not debuff you, mounts have their own action bar and you can attack on them( Can be Learnd thourgh training cards(Card%#))

So if you have met the skill requirements to tame the pet your aiming for heres some things that worked for me

Finding the baby
*some areas have a baby always spawn, for example there is always a Rocharus baby near the Rocharus Queen boss in the cave in Elkar woods
* you can find some of the dens the spawn if no baby kill and wait for them to spawn, dont kill the den
* static spawns kill til baby spawns, i prefer this to the dens because it seens the dens have a slower respawn time so you have a chance to kill and loot the den for all the short range players

Taming
*when you find the baby kill the nearby hostile if you and a friend its a bonus if not use a pet to attack any mob that attacks will taming
*use the Calm animal on the baby so it will not attack while you are taming, warning can miss!
* use the Tame animel skill, warning can miss!
>* i like the use defence stance while taming
>* you can have out max pets while taming

and if you dont feel like going through all this find another player or vender that sells them, but remeber that you have to have the skill to use the pet

Animal handling
*note that if you out level your vet med you will not be able to Tend to animal untill the vet med reaches that skill requirement for that pet type*

• just having out a pet will get you skill gain
  
• using a learning stim will help
  
• using Patch Animal
  
• using Heal Animal

for me i will use a learning stim and when im out harvesting nodes in a safe area or crafting i wil use Patch&Heal animal


Vet Meds

• crafting pet food

• healing a pet charge with Tend Animal (need bandage)

when im out harvesting nodes near hostiles i cant kill my self(breeding Drakes) ill send my pets out to distrack harvest then Tend the pets. all my meat slabs go to making pet food.

Effect- heals a pet's charge(if skill requirements are met for the pet)(at higher levels heals more than one charge)

Effect- attempts the remove any ill efects on pet animal
