Quick Explanation
For whatever reason, some users may not experience controller vibration with their XInput device, even when using official drivers.

There is a custom force-feedback driver that will help restore this functionality.
Download Driver
First, you'll need the force-feedback driver. Here are quick download links (choose only one based on your primary language):

English
Japanese

x86 = 32-bit Operating System
x64 = 64-bit Operating System

Here is the source website also: http://lavendy.net/special/driver/xi/index.html
Extract Driver From Archive
Once you have downloaded the driver, it should be in a .zip package. In order to extract this, you can either use the standard Windows compression utility (right-click it to Extract All), or use a 3rd-party program such as WinZip, WinRAR, and 7-Zip (my personal recommendation). It doesn't matter which program you use to extract this file, as it should extract the same way.

After extraction, you should be left with a .msi file.
Install The Driver
Double-click the .msi to start the installation.

You'll be given three choices during the install; Typical, Complete, and Custom.

Typical: Not sure what hardware is supported by this, but this will work fine for standard Xbox 360 controllers.

Complete: This will install the feedback driver for all supported devices (including 3rd-party XInput controllers and racing wheels)

Custom: This will allow you to cherry-pick which drivers to install support for.

Recommendations:
  • Use Typical if only dealing with official Xbox 360 controllers.
  • Use Complete if you plan on using a large variety of controllers, or if you just want to be certain your device is supported.
  • Use Custom if you know which devices you want support for.

Notes:
  • If you want to change supported devices later on down the road, you can easily do this.
  • The driver isn't huge, and doesn't impact performance in any way. So there isn't a significant difference or downside to using Typical vs Complete, but the option is there.
Profit!
That should be all there is to it. Force-feedback should now work in supported applications (including DW8:XLCE) with your controller(s).

Do you know if this will allow force feedback with the official Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel?

Might try it. While my official Xbox 360 controller sure has force feedback, I'm not sure about my Logitech F310.
