Run Driver Fusion on a computer with a printer



You need to have a printer connected to your PC when running the program. A wired connection like USB will work but a network printer will be more of a challenge. As soon as a printer is listed in the device overview of your machine it should be fine.

To get this achievement you need to start the program at least 31 days later than the previous start.
A easy way to get this is to change the date of your PC and then start the program. After you get this achievement then make sure to change the time back to the correct time.

How to change the clock on your computer

• Open Date and Time by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Clock, Language, and Region, and then clicking Date and Time.
  
• Click the Date and Time tab, and then click Change date and time. Administrator permission required If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
  
• In the Date and Time Settings dialog box, do one or more of the following:
  
• To change the hour, double-click the hour, and then click the arrows to increase or decrease the value.
  
• To change the minutes, double-click the minutes, and then click the arrows to increase or decrease the value.
  
• To change the seconds, double-click the seconds, and then click the arrows to increase or decrease the value.
  
• When you have finished changing the time settings, click OK.

Run Driver Fusion on a computer with two or more monitors

Open the program on a PC where the desktop is expanded over at least two displays.

If you have Eyefinity Or Surround

With Eyefinity/Surround the program will only see it as 1 display, this is the expected behavior as Eyefinity creates a group of multiple displays that is then represented as a single desktop. As a result, Driver Fusion only sees one display as well.

If you have Eyefinity or Surround disable it. After I did this and then opened up the program again the achievement popped up.

Run Driver Fusion ten times



This is a pretty simple achievement. You just close and start the program 10 times.

Remove any entry



When you open up the program go to Maintenance > Driver Family > then click on a driver like display that you aren't using. Click on the display driver that you know is not linked to your current display driver, after you select the box then at the bottom you will need to click delete. You can restore the driver right after.

You have the ability to add filters, just like the Hasta La Vista achievement as not everyone has a driver that is unused.

Identify a known device using device control



In device control, click on a device and change the gray drop-down on top to "device identifier" and click on identify. However, you need an actual "unknown device" for the Watson achievement. The other achievement (That's A Thing?) will unlock with devices that are already known.

Create a system report



Go to “Settings > Advanced” and click on the button which says “Open with web browser”

Remove a total of 1000 entries



First you need to add at least 1000 text files to a new folder with ctrl+c and ctrl+v.
In my case: “C:\driverfusion” and 1000 copies of the file “document.txt”

Then you need to start the program and go into “MANAGEMENT” > “Filters”. Click on “Add” and type in anything in both of those fields. Press “OK”. Now you created a new filter. In this filter you need to add the rules of the filter.
Press the “Add” button which is more in the center of the driver fusion window. Select “File” and type in the path “C:\driverfusion\*” . The star (*) symbol is very important here since it is a placeholder in Windows and selects every file you have in this folder. Press “OK”.
Go to “MAINTENANCE” > “Driver family” and select the filter you added before. Press “Delete”.
The achievement should pop up.

Install a driver using device control



Go to "Device control". Select an unimportant device with working driver. Select "Driver overview" and make a backup. Uninstall the driver. After that you click on "Install" and select the backup you just made.

Identify an unknown device using device control



Plug in some USB device which has an uncommon driver and Windows does not recognize it. I did this with a Western Digital My Passport USB drive. It requires a driver for the built in SES Device. Select the device under “Device control” and press “Identify” after you selected the correct submenu “Device identifier” from the dropdown menu.

Use desktop restore



In the program click on Computer > Desktop. Then create a backup and restore it.

Add a custom filter



Create a filter under management > add at the bottom, then create a filter for anything.

Use the Twitter icon

You first need to sign out within Driver Fusion, then you'll have another icon left to the settings cog which will look like a circle thingy. Click on it and then on Twitter. The achievement will then unlock.

Run Driver Fusion with a screen size of 1234 x 567



The window of Driver Fusion needs to be 1234 x 567, not your desktop resolution.
These are 3 different ways to get this achievement:

• Use a program like Action Recorder which is sold on steam and use the desktop recording. There will be a magnet option in that and when you snap it to the window it will give you the measurements of the window you are on, I just made it set to 1234 x 567 and I got the achievement. You don't have to be on any special window, I just was on the maintenance portion of the program when I got it.
  
  
• Resize the window until you get 1234 x 567. You can check the size if you print screen the window (Alt+PrtScn) and paste it Paint.NET for example (at least a paint program that gives you information about the size), then adjust accordingly.
  
  
• Open Paint, fill the worksheet with a color (black is best, because it is a good contrast to the white driver fusion window) and resize the black tile you created to 1234x567 in paint.
  Now you can drag the driver fusion window on top of the paint window and align it correctly.
