Coming from another MOBA?
You’re probably wondering how Chaos Heroes plays compared to your MOBA. Here are a couple of important differences, but the best way to understand Chaos Heroes is to play the game!

  • You can buy items everywhere on the map, you don’t have to back to shop.

  • Consumables are super important. Low on Health? Spend 20 gold on a Rejuvenation Potion and you're good to go. Need Magic Immunity? 70 gold and a Repel Potion. Need to dispel your
opponent's buffs? 50 gold and a Dispel Wand. Use these consumables!

  • Chaos Heroes punishes passive farm strategies. There are only 3 creeps per wave… If you want to earn more gold you need to contest jungle camps and gank.

  • Chaos Heroes promotes grouping up. Towers regenerate over time, and each lane is protected by a huge monster (Sentinel) that deals insane amounts of damage and heals extremely fast too. Taking it down usually requires at least 3 or 4 people.

  • You can attack trees. Minor detail? Not so! You can actually surprise enemies by running “outside” the map and ambush people on their way out to the lane. There are also teleportal portals linking bot / top lane, use those to surprise your opponents.

  • NO WARDS! Keep an eye on that minimap and communicate with your allies. VOIP is included in-game already.

  • You can instantly TP away with invulnerability (default Z key) with a 5 min cooldown. This may seem like a “get out of jail for free” card at lower level, but the more experienced the enemies are the more they will capitalize on this.

  • 50 minutes time limit. No dragging the game out, after 50 minutes each team will have a score depending on their number of objectives (towers, sentinels, barracks…), kills, collective levels, etc etc.

Of course the game can't be explained with a couple of paragraphs, so you’ll have to discover the rest yourself! Have fun, and again don’t hesitate to contact us on the forum if you have any questions or just want to discuss about the game.
Play the Tutorials
We heavily recommend that you play all three tutorials, even if you're an experienced player. Each tutorial will reward you by unlocking a hero or granting you an item.

Tutorials contain information about key game mechanics that do not exist in other MOBAs and that are vital for your survival.

If you really want to, you can leave the tutorial at any moment as you would leave a regular game (top right door icon).

Currency

There are three currencies in Chaos Heroes Online:
  • GP (Game Points). Can be obtained by playing, completing quests, random rewards and events.
  • Soulstones. Can be obtained through daily log-in, completing quests, random rewards, events and shop. Soulstones can notably be used to get an additional reward at the end of a match or reset a Craft Item.
  • CP (Cash Points).

Quests

Chaos Heroes Online players have access to multiple Quests every day.

A. Daily Targets
You will earn rewards each day by acquiring certain amounts of XP and by winning Matchmaking games. Each reward is independant, which means you can acquire all of them every day.

B. Daily Quests
You can select one of three Daily Quest every day. Daily Quests have multiple phases which need to be completed one at a time. Each phase has its own reward associated to it, and completing them all grants you access to the Daily Quest reward.

Daily Quests with higher difficulty will have more phases, each more difficult to complete - it is therefore advised to select easier Daily Quests if you don't have too much time at hand on a particular day so you can't still complete it.

C. Hero Quests
Hero Quests are similar to achievements. Each hero has a different set of quests that will automatically start when you join a game. The Hero Quests are also separated into different phases that have to be completed in the right order. Once the beginner quest is complete, the advanced quest will activate. These quests will not reset.

D. Quest Map
The Quest Map will progressively unlock as you level up. Every time your account gains a level, you will get a new hero unlocked for 3 days to play without needing to wait for the Weekly Rotation.

Map Info
Teleport Waygates

Teleport Waygates are located near the top and bottom lanes. Using one Waygate will transport you to the other Waygate.

Each Waygate has an independent 30 seconds cooldown which will trigger if used twice under a 30 seconds period. During that time, the Waygate will be de-activated and impossible to use.

Note that you can still teleport to a deactivated Gateway if the other Gateway is active.

Towers

Towers are your first line of defense and the most common form of protection. These structures will protect you during the early stages of the game and can deal some heavy damage, so be careful not to approach enemy towers alone.

Towers are also quite resistant and heal over time, it is therefore advised to have take them down with a minimum of one or two allies at your side.

Note that towers also detect nearby invisible units - stay close to them if someone is hunting you!

Sentinels

Sentinels are huge monsters guarding each lane. These creatures are extremely powerful and incredibly hard to take down, as they regenerate very quickly.

A full team of five will usually be necessary to take down these mighty foes. Sentinels are the main reason why each team should have a tank in their lineup.

Barracks

Barracks are the tall buildings that provide your team with soldiers (creeps). Each lane has two barracks, one for ranged creeps and one for melee creeps. Once the Barracks are destroyed, creeps will no longer spawn on that particular lane.

Guardians

Guardians are massive flying creatures who roam each base to defend it. Their attacks deal AoE damage and can usually delay a team long enough for their opponents to come back to defend.

Citadels

Hidden behind the towers, sentinels and guardian, the Citadel is the final goal of every team. Destroying it means instantly winning the game, so protect yours carefully!
Games Mechanics Q&A
Can you deny creeps?
  • No, you can't deny creeps in Chaos Heroes Online.
How can I deal with Repel Potions?
  • Use Dispel Wand to counter Repel Potions.
How do I take down Towers / Sentinels in this game? They heal so fast!
  • Chaos Heroes Online discourages Split Push strategies. Tell your allies to group up!
They still kill my creeps too quickly!
  • Tanks are very important in Chaos Heroes Online as they are expected to withstand the damage while their allies take down the objectives. Creeps will die very quickly, so make sure your team has at least one beefy hero!
The Guardian is invulnerable?!
  • The Guardian - that huge flying monster protecting your base - is only vulnerable once the three Sentinels are down.
What happens when you reach 50 minutes?
  • The game ends. The scoring system will trigger and the team with most points will win.
What the hell, X or Y is so unbalanced!
  • Remember that the game isn't new by any mean and is played every day in Korea and Japan - the developers have been balancing Chaos Heroes Online for 10 years now. What you feel isn't balance may come from the fact that you do not understand the game well enough yet. Keep an open mind!

well there's a sort of split pushing: bd (backdoor). this usually means one player is specialized in destroying buildings. The remaining 4 keeps the enemy team busy while he destroys the buildings at a different lane.

p.s. Myzzrym, a dispel wand cost 60, not 50 ;)
