Introduction
Hello fellow heisters and welcome to my "Little did great effect" guide. Here i gonna show you how to be a usefull crew member in a loud heist

Question and answers

Q: Why did you made this guide?

A: I am playing Payday 2 now for a very long time and i really enjoy loud Heists. I recognized very soon that a lot of people lack in basic knowledge about loud Heists and how to play as a Team. There are some things that people often do wrong or dont know about and repeat in almost every heist. It annoyed me so much, that i wanted to show people how to do it better.

Q: Why is this guide so "short"?

A: There are a lot of very good long guides about the game and it mechanics but i know that some people dont like to read so much especially if they are completely new to the game. Its a lot of information and it takes a lot of time to understand everything. So i wanted to make this guide "short" but still informative enough to give you the crucial understanding of this chapter. This guide only covers up these things, that i see people doing wrong almost in every game.

Q: Why did you made this guide only for loud heists and not for both, loud and stealth?

A: To be honest, i am one of the few players that do all the stealth heists solo. I never liked playing stealth with a random group because it ends up pretty bad. So i played all Stealth heist until i could do them solo. Playing loud heists with a random group is the better option. So i decided to improve people for this case. But if you like my guide and you would like me to make a stealth version of this one, just write it in the comments below and if enough people want me to do it, I´ll do it for you.

Q: For which difficulty is this guide made for?

A: This isnt a guide for a specific difficulty. It is much more basic knowledge and common things u should consider to do or know.

Things you should keep in mind

- This is my first guide i have ever made
- Please give a real and fair feedback about it
- Dont forget to comment and like it if you enjoyed it
- I come from germany and i know my english is not perfect so please dont be so picky if i wrote
something wrong
- I will always try to keep this guide updated as possible
- If you think i forgot something that should be added, write me in the comments below but dont
forget, i decide if i want to add things or not.

The end of the introduction

Lastly i wanted to thank my crew members: Anthrax, GR!ZZly and i M ll eX for having a great time in the game and being such an awesome team. I also wanted to greet and thank all of the Payday 2 Germany group members for being such a nice group of people. Big respect also to the admin of the group Kettenhund for keeping the group and people together.

I hope you will like my guide and learn a few things about the game. Enjoy the game and keep heisting!
Basic information and tricks about gadgets
Here i show you how the use your gadgets the right way and show you some things you might not know

Gadgets

Laser tripmine

  • Use Laser tripmines to secure vents from incoming cloakers

  • Place them against the wall with the laser dot crossing right through the middle of the vent. Never put them on the vent or under the vent. If a cloaker spawns and the vent case dropps, they explode and the cloaker will be still alive

  • Laser tripmines should be only used to kill special enemys. Getting a Bulldozer killed with a single tripmine is a satisfying feeling and the best you can get out of your mines

  • The best way to get the enemy killed you only want to get killed by your mine, is by turning the mine off by interacting with it (requires a skill in the technician tree) and shooting at it when the enemy is close to the mine

    Ammo bag

  • Ammo bags should be only used when you are really low on ammo. If the ammo bag is further away and you run out of ammo, keep at least a last magazine in your weapon before you reach the bag. If you cross a cloaker or a taser, you will be glad you did it

  • Frag round ammunition will eat a lot of the amount of ammo you replenish. Dont waste it or you may have to use an ammo bag twice to get your secondary and primary weapon refilled with maximum ammo

    Medic bag

  • Medic bags should only be used if you get downed at least 2 times(a player can be downed 3 times before his 4th downed will get him into custody) and not just to replenish your health

  • If you get kicked by a cloaker or tased by a taser, it does not count as a downed and you wont loose one of your down times

    First aid kit

  • First aid kits are made to replenish your health to the maximum amount

  • If you are the player who carries the first aid kits, you should always place them in good spots after a while. As you have more then enough of them you should place them as a trio when laying them down(Never put all of them down). Dont wait until a member of your crew have to yell at you putting one down. Keep the health bar of your mates in sight

Basic information and tricks about enemys [Under construction]
Here i gonna show you how to kill special enemys the best way and what makes them so unique

Special enemys

Shield

  • The shield cant be penetrated with normal bullets, so you have to use frag or slug rounds to achieve that. If you try to kill a shield, always aim on his little window where he looks through to achieve a headshoot

  • Snipers are the only weapons that can penetrate through the shield. They are also the best way to kill shields when they are still far away.

  • All explosives are able to kill a shield. Sometimes, a shield can absorb the damage taken from a grenade even if its thrown correctly. Frag rounds do a really good job when you have to take care of them.

  • If you see a team mate gets attacked by a shield and he tries to place the back of the shield to your sight, then dont ignore that and take him out. Some people dont have the Dlc´s with the guns and ammo that kill shields so easy(or they just did not take them for the heist) and they may need more help.

  • [Bonus] There is a way to kill shields even when you have not one of the weapons listed before and/or you play solo and you dont have the skill to knock shields back with your melee attack. I call this move the "Shield dance" (should get a patent for this name :D). It is a bit risky and it might kill you if not doing correctly. To perform the shield dance, you have to get very close to the shield and start running around him until his unprotected back shows up. All you have to do now is shooting him quickly before he turn around again. I recommend this only for people with a decent amount of armor cause you will get hurt a lot.

    Taser

  • You can still kill a taser who is zapping you but the difficulty depends on your weapon and your distance to the taser. I prefer getting zapped by tasers when i carry a shotgun, it seems very precise even when you get tased. Lmgs are the worst in accuracy in this situation.

Preplanning
Before every heist, you get the opportunity to plan the mission. Use this to customize your crew according to the heist you play and to make clear which player does what.

  • Before you start the heist, make sure you communicate with your crew about the skills and perk decks of every crew member

  • Try to get a good variety of every skill tree and avoid taking skill trees multiple times like 1x Mastermind and 3x Enforcer or 4x Fugitive

  • If your team mates dont talk with you, try at least guessing which skill tree they got by taking a look on their Armor,Suits might indicate a Fugitive skill tree or ICTVs indicates an Enforcer build

  • The host bought the heist, so he usually do the preplanning for it but that doesnt mean he has to do it

  • If the host wants you to accept a plan, you do it. You can tell the host how to improve his preplanning but if he wants to do it on his way, you accept that

  • Match your preplanning with the skills of your crew to avoid buying assets you dont need (buying a keycard is not necessary if someone got shaped charges or a saw)

  • Take a look at the crew loadout to see which member takes which weapon/gadget. Discuss with your team who takes what

  • Now you take the weapons and gadgets that fits the most for the heist (taking a saw for a heist where you dont need it, does not make sense)

Preperations
Some heists give you enough time to prepare for the first incoming assault wave. You should use this time to make this wave easier to survive.

  • Use planks of woods to barricade windows and keep enemys out of a building aswell as prevent getting shoot from outside

  • Eplosive weapons destroy these barricades when detonade nearby, so you should use them carefully

  • Take hostages by tying them down with cable ties. Take as much hostages as you can, the more, the better

  • bring those hostages to a safe spot where you can defend them easyer and to prevent them from getting shoot accidently

  • Dont use explosives near hostages. They die really fast and easy from it.

  • Start laying down ammo bags and medic bags at strategic safe spots. If you have 2 bags of one of these gadgets in your inventory, then dont put all at the beginning. If you change positions or move forward, you might need them somewhere else

  • Replenish your health only when you got downed at least 2 times not earliyer. Replenish your ammo if you are really low on ammo

  • Start getting to mission objectives that are placed in open space or in dangerous positions. While in assault waves these locations makes you an easy target

  • When you are finished with your objective, get back to a safe spot or to your crew.

Assault waves

Following these steps in assault waves will help you and your team a lot

  • Always try to find good places to defend yourself. A good place is somewhere with good cover and it should have at least 2 exits nearby. If somehow 1 exit is blocked or you get ambushed, you can still take the second exit.

  • Try to stay away from roofs or streets. Snipers will get you very fast even with a good amount of armor.

  • Dont camp in small rooms with no exit, if you get rushed by shields/bulldozer/cloacker you will be down in seconds without a chance to escape.

  • Mark special enemys as good as you can by looking at a special enemy and pressing the callout button(on standard settings "F" button). This keeps your crew aware of the threat and they are able to react.

  • If you get kicked by a cloaker, write "Cloaker" in the chat so your team know whats going on. That prevents people from running to your body to get you up and getting kicked aswell.

  • Anytime you see this red laser searching for something you should be aware of a sniper! Find him fast and kill him before he starts hitting your team. Sometimes they are very far away and sometimes they are close. Try to peek around a corner and switch to singleshoot fire if necessary. They most likely miss their first shoot.

  • If you see an enemy taking his hands up and surrender, do not shoot him! One of your crew members is taking him as a hostage and he wont attack you at this point.

End of the assault wave
Every assault wave comes soon or later to an end. You have now a very little time window before the next one starts.

The only thing that now really matters is to continue a mission objective that couldnt be done due to the heat of the wave. This is the best time to finally end the heist safely.

Congratulations! You succeded the heist and you were also a competent and good teamplayer. If you exercise these methods a lot, you will do them automatically.
Now try to transfer all of the steps for all loud heists if possible and you should perform well.

frag rounds do not use any more ammo from a bag than any other kind of round, they just pick up less from drops. You will never need to interact twice while an ammo bag has 200% ammo left or more, so if you need to do it twice you would have needed to do it twice regrdless of what rounds you were using.

1. Trip Mines
If you place em at doorways, stand next to the frame and look directly to it that is "eye high" so no look a bit up and you get to over head high. only two enemies will than activate your mines, dozer and shild

2. If you break line of sight to a shild and a friend is nerby the shild faces him to get covered of bullets, so you can kill him if you are fast

Penis drawing is not in preplanning section, 7.8/10: not enough dongers.

Handy guide, don't get me wrong. However my only disagreement would be: Only use a doctor bag when your screen is black and white (3 downs without "Nine Lives"), not at two downs. In some cases, you may have to heal sooner to get something done (run through a bullet-storm to grab an objective bag, run to the escape vehicle, etc.), but on normal circumstances you should be healing only when black and white.
