Congressman

Byron Donalds is a Republican congressman from southwest Florida who’s closely aligned with Donald Trump and the House Freedom Caucus. He was also the first Black Republican in history to be nominated for the Speaker of the House. Since then he’s kept a high profile and was reportedely on Trump's VP shortlist in 2024, and since then has run for governor of Florida to succeed Ron DeSantis.
