Atlyss – Unofficial Gamepad Controls Guide
Although Atlyss doesn’t officially list controller support on Steam, it actually works really well with XInput controllers (like Xbox-style gamepads) without the need of Steam Input or similar programs!
I tested this setup myself, and here’s a complete breakdown of how it plays — plus what to expect if you’re using other controller types.

Extra Notes
  • PvP Toggle: The keybind is still unknown — if anyone finds it, please share!
  • Partial Gamepad Support: Some menus (like the NPC's quests menu) still require a mouse or keyboard.
  • Controller Compatibility:
    • XInput (Xbox-style): Works perfectly.
    • ⚠️ DualShock 4 (PS4): Buttons and camera axes are not calibrated correctly.
    • Switch Pro Controller: Not detected by the game.
Final Thoughts
If you ever want to play Atlyss with a gamepad, an XInput controller is your best bet. Atlyss feels smooth and natural to play (in my opinion), even without official controller support.
Here’s hoping the devs expand this feature in future updates. It does say in the settings that gamepad support isn't fully implemented, but all the controls that makes the game playable are working perfectly.

Took me a bit to figure out how to get the built in support working. I like this a lot.

Also, the controlls only seem to work with XInput controllers, at least from my understanding. I haven't tested any other controllers other than the ones listed.

Oh, yeah. Charge attack does have Controller support, I just forgot to add it. It's LS + RT. Again, these are the controls that I found that works without Steam Input.

The only input you're missing is Charge Attack. The current setup I use has LB as a modifier and puts Skill on RB, LT, and face buttons. The only thing that really sucks right now with controller support is the lack of analog input for movement.
