Ideal Starting Setup
Optimal Starting setup, quick-reset until you have the optimal setup will make it easier.
  • Starting King: King of Nothing
  • Perks: None
  • Preferred Starting Enemy: Nomad
  • Enemies to Avoid: Greed and Stone
  • First Decree: Development or Supplies
The Plan
Once you have started with the right enemy setup, these are the steps that I used to complete this achievement.

  1. Castle in the back-middle.

  2. Blacksmith in middle-middle

  3. Paladins in front-middle (haven't experimented with soldier yet)

  4. If you get a Farm, place it to the left or right of the Paladins in the front row.

  5. You should get to the first Royal Council by now, hopefully you get the Development decree which gives you a Wildcard for each empty plot you have (good for leveling up early game).
However, another option, which I used is the Supplies decree. It discards your hand and gives you one of each of your kings cards. This is good for leveling up all of your played cards, and will guarantee that you get both a Farm and Blacksmith in the early game.

  6. Don't worry about Blessing. Almost never worth going for, occasionally a bonus.

  7. Next, if you have not already received a Mob yet, you will want to reroll and get it early. You will place it in the front row on the opposite side you put your Farm (Should be the last spot in the front row). They will ramp up as your Farm(s) recruit more Paladins.

  8. During Plot Extension, I would extend infront of your Paladins so you can hopefully get another farm out front. This will have two farms feeding into the Paladins, which in turn will start to load up on Mob units.

  9. As this is going on, or whenever you have extra cards, you can put a ranged unit in the middle row beside the first farm. This will help with damage, and will benefit from both the Farm and Blacksmith. I used Archers, but Elf is also viable.

Additional Notes

  • All Enchantments should be added to Paladins

  • Rainbow Event: Gigantify is preferred (on Paladin, save as long as you can or until you start to struggle), Temple is "okay" but good for long runs, Echoform is good if you have extended plot to allow for it, Razing is also very useful.

  • Add Raptors in the middle row, above the Mob.

  • Catharsis decree is good for catching up newer units to your Paladins stats.

  • Add another Blacksmith beside the Castle

  • During a second plot extension, you can add another troop in the corner between Farms (Where I put the Demon's Alter in my screenshot).
