Key Points of Pylon Challenge

The challenge : Charge all Charge Shrine on a tier 3 run across all 3 stages without leaving the charge zone.
  • There are 15 pylons in a tier - I counted them manually just to be sure
  • You need a character with FAST base speed like Calcium
  • Monke is ok but you can accidentally climb a pylon and fail
  • T1 is hardest and you need to focus on getting through T1 because you are not flying around like Goku and dishing out one million DPS yet
  • Most fails are from BAD movements

    IMPORTANT UPDATE**
    You now have a minimap, just press TAB.
Win through movement
Most people fail to even find the boss because they move around the map erractically with zero plan.
  • NAVIGATE WITH A PLAN not randomly - This is why most people can't even find the boss to begin with.
  • Check edge of the map first then the inside (See image)
  • All moais, merchants etc are now GREEN. CHARGE shrines appear as TEAL dots (They used to be all green)
  • Do not approach a green dot blind
    You dont know if there's a double pylon or a merchant, make sure you sight the feature first.
  • Do not approach a pylon from below
    This is very easy for you to clutch defeat from the jaws of victory if you approach a pylon from below where the activation area is the smallest and you risk jumping too high over it. Many ways for this to go wrong.
  • Using mini map to navigate
  • Take as many extra jumps as you can

    You do not need to follow this but you need a plan, otherwise you will be like a ship with no destination.
Other shrines and you
Shrines like the moai, merchants etc are also marked green on the map.
  • Activate every shrine not just the charge shrine, this avoids possibility of you second guessing yourself or having to double back
  • Avoid difficulty (Unless you want to)
  • Avoid taking Beacon - Beacon will give you two extra shrines, that's simply increasing your chance to miss them
BOSSES, MINIONS AND YOU
Bosses have the highest displacement power to stop you from doing a shrine
  • Keep an eye out on boss and swarm timer -
    The FIRST boss timer is 7:00 and the second one is at 2:00. Avoid doing shrines just right before they spawn.
  • Take as little magnet as possible, use the power up / XP crystals as markers
