I have written a few stories about the lore of Webfishing.
I mean... I experienced them first-hand...

I created them because I wanted to make cool stories about the game, that might help some new players to discover some aspects of the game, with some cool and funny lore

When I posted them in lobbies a nice guy that goes by the name FatHorse suggested that I post them online.

I have been fishing since the beginning of time

I have watched empires rise and fall

Let me share with you the story I have witnessed, The history of fishing society

Back in the day, When I was still a youngling. There wasn't any bucket buddies to help you.

It was only you and the rod, nothing else.

Bait? We used our fingers to lure out the fish

Rods? We crafted them by scrounging the bones of the fallen.

It was an era of instability and confusion

The absence of rules caused conflicts to erupt quickly

And sooner than one would imagine. The first fishing war has began.

Two races cats and dogs. fighting for power.

fighting for the ability to be the sole ruler of fishing society.

The war lasted for over 200 years.

Only ending when a new system was introduced to the fishing society

That system. was the golden fishes.

A type of fish so rare, so desired and powerful that the two factions had no choice but to put their differences aside to try obtaining it

The legend says that anyone who is able to complete their journals, with every type and quality of golden fish acquired would achieve godhood

Godhood you ask? The ability to ascend beyond being a regular fisherman and becoming something greater, A god

I have dedicated my life to achieving this power. with this power, I will prevent any future wars. so our sacred fishing society will remain peaceful.

Let me tell you the story of the second fishing war.

To clarify, it's the second fishing war that happened, not a war that lasted a second.

Unlike the first war, this wasn't a war between animal kind. But against nature itself.

It all began when we discovered a new area to be explored in the fishing world.

It was an area so secret, it was never intended to be a part of fishing society in the first place.

We called this place... The Void.

A place where light does not exist, where you appear to be standing on nothing, yet u are still able to walk.

The first expedition that was sent to inhabit that land failed and never came back.

The second one? Same result

It has taken fishing society 33 expeditions the uncover the secrets of the land.

That expedition revealed, the dark secret of the void.

A type of fish so vile, so horrendous and violent. that it looked like it's not from this world.

Even this expedition couldn't inhabit the land. but they gave the fish that ruled it a name...

They named it CREATURE

Till this day, the CREATURE has only been caught by a select few.

Those few warriors who conquered the beast, were awarded with the "Freaky" tag.

Because you had to be out of your mind to challenge it.

Let me tell you the story of the third fishing war.

In this war, Ruin has come to my family.

As my name suggests I am was the prince of Elation. A forgotten kingdom from ancient time.

The Kingdom of Elation was the first of it's kind.

Instead of focusing on commerce. it's sole purpose was helping it's citizens ascend to godhood.

To remind you, Godhood is achieved by completing the entire fishing journal, Golden fishes included

By combining all the technology of our time, We created something new to help with that

A new type lure that attracts golden fish. We called it, The Golden Hook.

With that people flooded our kingdom like flies. Hoping to get their hands on the Golden Hook.

But some of the gods in this time, were angry.

They were wanted to keep the god status to themselves.

So to do that. They attacked the Elation kingdom by surprise and killed our Golden Hook scientists.

So they cast the royal family. And thus ending the Elation kingdom once and for all.

Those vengeful gods thought that by killing the scientists, The Golden Hook would cease to exist.

What they didn't know at the time.

Was that I invented the Golden Hook in the first place.

And to avenge my family's name, I released it's blueprint to the world.

Without even knowing, the hateful gods opened a pandora box that ruined all their plans.

And since then. many more souls got access to godhood because of the popularity of the Golden Hook

Let me tell you the story of the fourth fishing war.

A war that was caused by mods.

To understand what happened, I have to reference a similar story from a book I read.

The book follows a story of a specie called Humans.

A specie that has fallen because of hubris

They have forged a being so powerful it was too much for them

They created a technology that was later called artificial intelligence.

A program that emulates a thinking of a animal being.

Soon it has taken their jobs and their lives.

But again, this story isn't about humans. It's about the mods and the fourth war

Mods has caused the fishing society to doubt the art of fishing.

Because the tradition that has passed for generations, was replaced by autofishing mods.

This war was the modders vs non modders.

Non modders saw mods as an insult to what fishing society has achieved for over thousands of years

Modders on the other hand, embraced the technological advancement and used it in a flash for profit.

The war has turned into a cold war to this day. Modders are modding while others look in disgust.

It's like drugs in the Netherlands, some people use it, some don't. but it's too late to turn back the wheel.
