If you’re tired of the on-screen prompt ruining your Silent Hill F screenshots, here’s a simple fix. The issue happens because the default screenshot key also triggers the cutscene HUD. To avoid that, just remap your screenshot key to the backtick ( ` ) key the one right above Tab.

After doing this, you can take clean, cinematic screenshots without any UI or prompts showing up.

💡 Note: On some smaller keyboards, you might need to press Fn + Esc to use the backtick key.


I noticed that when my keyboard language is set to English (US) or English (UK), pressing ` still triggers the UI.

But when I switch my keyboard language to Arabic, it doesn’t trigger the UI at all so try changing your language setting if you’re having the same issue!

Not sure which other languages work, but Arabic definitely does for me.
