Giving gifts in the primary way to improve in-game relationships and get the "Someone to lean on" achievement. This guide should hopefully help you know what to give to whom.

Gifts are split into 5 different categories, These categories are Loves, Likes, Neutrals, Dislikes and Hates. These are shown by a Heart, Smiley Face, No Emotion, Droplet, and Purple Skull respectively.

Almost everything in the game can be gifted, and most will tell you want category they belong to in the description.

The types of items are as follows:
Bugs - Snails, etc.. usually found by the train tracks
Bread - Purchased at the Bakery
Collectables - Feathers, Blue Agate, etc... Found in the Shore and Mountain respectively
Components - Anything that can be created via Assembler
Flowers - Roses, Marigold, etc... Found everywhere
Foragables - Hops, Mushrooms, etc... Found everywhere
Fruit - Strawberries, Blueberries, etc... Found everywhere
Gems - Rubies, Emeralds, Amethyst, Diamonds. Found in the mines
Ores - Iron, Copper, Coal. Found everywhere
Seashells - Rainbow, Spiral, etc... Found on the shore
