Disable Steam Cloud save

While this technically isn't necessary, the game recognized my safe game as corrupt during this process!

Go to your Steam library, right-click on F1 2013, go to properties and turn off Cloud Saving.


Your Save game will remain on the steam cloud for later, but steam will not try to delete it, in case the game considers it corrupt.

Additionally, you can back up your local Save game.
Go to your Steam installation folder, this is usually under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\.
If you've installed your Steam Client on another drive, this will differ!

The folder we want to copy to a safe location is
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\xxxxxxxxx\227300,
the "X" representing your Steam ID, if you've never logged into another account, there should only be one folder.

Downloading the Mod

The Mod we're using is called
"Ferrari 312T2 1976 - Niki Lauda and Rubens Barrichello" by henr-p1
and can be downloaded here [www.overtake.gg]
(you need to log in to download the file).

Additionally, I've uploaded it here [archive.org] for redundancy in case the original goes down.

Please use the original upload and leave a like and review for the Mod Creator!

After you've downloaded the file, open it with your program of choice (e.g. WinRAR, 7Zip, NanaZip...) and open the F1 2013 folder.
Within you'll find four folders, extract these into your game folder, which you can easily open by right-clicking the game in your Steam Library, going down to Manage and clicking on Browse local files .

Time to get that Achievement

You can now start the game, as mentioned above the game considered my Save Game as corrupt and deleted it, so I quickly made a scrap profile just for the achievement.

When starting a profile, the game starts you off in the car of the chosen team, though you don't have to take a lap in it, simply wait and go through until you can go back to the main menu.

In the Main Menu, go to F1 Classics and then into Time Trial, where you should now see the Ferrari 312 T2.

Pick it and go for a lap on either Brands Hatch or Jerez , keep in mind, the Achievement wants a clean lap, not a fast one, so keep it slow and steady!

Let's get your Save Game back and working

You now need to get rid of the Mod, for that it should be enough to go back to the games Properties like in the beginning, select Installed Files on the left, and then click on Verify integrity of game files, this should only take a few minutes and will automatically re download any file that steam deems may be corrupt or modified.


After this is done, go back to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\xxxxxxxxx\227300 and delete the folder, so that Steam doesn't try to upload this temporary Save Game to the Cloud.


And at last in the Game Properties under General reactivate your Steam Cloud Save, it will then show you on your Library Game Page that the Cloud is out of Sync.
Click on it so it downloads the Cloud save, this sometimes takes a second attempt, but should work without a problem.

Check if it worked

Start the Game again and check if your Save game is back and working, should you get a message about corruption try and COPY DON'T MOVE the backup you made in the beginning of this guide and overwrite any of the files the game may have created.
