Intro

Hey everyone! 👋 This is my first Steam guide, so I hope it helps you out on your road to 100% completion! 🚗💨

If this guide helped you in any way, don’t forget to leave a favorite — I’ll be updating it as new achievements are added to the game. Awards, comments, and extra tips are always appreciated, as they help me improve and keep the guide growing.

Thanks for checking it out, and happy dealing! 💵🛠️
🛠️ Minor Tips Before Getting Started
Before diving into achievements, here are some key tips to help you maximize efficiency and profits. Be sure to review the guide by sections as achievements are split into categories for easier tracking.

For tips on buying and selling vehicles for maximum profit, check out the Money Achievements section, which covers negotiating, market values, and more.

Tow Truck – Early on, you get a truck and tow dolly to move vehicles. Later, after purchasing the Tow Truck ($30,000), you can still use the dolly to transport two vehicles at once, saving time and fuel. Attach the dolly, load the first car, reattach for the second car, then unload in sequence at your shop. Planning your trips well makes this process much smoother.

Don't Sleep – Use your time efficiently: repair vehicles, refurbish parts, make purchase arrangements, pick up/deliver cars, refuel, and post vehicles online. Take advantage of nighttime in-game to go out and make vehicle purchases, especially once you progress into the late game.

Refurbish Everything – Once the parts refurbisher is unlocked, keep it running. Don’t forget that you can purchase a second repair machine from the shop to speed up processing. Pay attention to the pop-ups that appear on screen when a repair cycle finishes to know when a part is ready.

Keep a Stock of Spare Parts – Later in the game, especially in mid to late stages, keep a healthy supply of parts on hand. Using a van is ideal due to its large cargo space, allowing frequent trips to the Junkyard to purchase worn-out parts, refurbish them, and build a stockpile — this is more profitable than buying brand-new parts from the shop.
📈 Progression Achievements
These achievements should unlock naturally as you progress through the main story and complete key milestones in the game. Most of them require completing tasks like expanding your dealership, unlocking new areas, hiring staff, and reaching certain reputation levels.

While you don’t need to grind specifically for these, keeping an eye on your dealership upgrades and story objectives will help ensure you don’t miss any along the way.

💵 Money Achievements
💰 Money & Selling Tips

For early-game profit, focus on minor repairs and presentation — patch exhaust holes, wash the car, repair bodywork, and place it on the lot.

When setting your listing price, adjust it to just below the point where the sell/mood bar turns red (about a dollar before). This keeps the bar in the orange zone, ensuring you get the maximum payout while still maintaining strong buyer interest.

You don’t need to negotiate with buyers — simply decline all offers until a customer appears who’s willing to pay your full asking price. The AI is designed so that vehicles priced within the orange range will eventually sell at full value.

🟢 Green: Quick sales but reduced profits.
🟠 Orange: Ideal balance — high profit and steady buyer interest.
🔴 Red: Price too high, fewer buyers, and longer wait times.

When buying vehicles, always scan the car before initiating negotiations. The scan shows the car’s current market value based on its condition, helping you determine a fair offer. Then, negotiate for a lower price — never pay the seller’s full asking amount.

Don’t forget to rollback the odometer and take photos to earn bonus listing cash. You only need two quick shots:
  • A front-corner angle capturing the front, side, and part of the rear.
  • The opposite corner showing the rear and the other side.
Lastly, avoid buying candy and cigarettes — they only grant one extra negotiation attempt, which becomes unnecessary once you start understanding typical vehicle values and pricing behavior the more you play.

💪 True Grind Achievements
This section covers all achievements that require repeated actions over time. I’ll be breaking them down by their respective workplaces for easier tracking and organization.

Keep in mind that the following jobs must be performed by you personally for progress to count:
Foaming, Washing, Waxing, Polishing, Grinding, Sanding, Putty, and Painting.
If you assign these tasks to workers, they will not contribute toward achievement progress.

Waxing and Polishing become available after upgrading the Car Wash, while Power Tools apply to the Body Shop and make these repetitive tasks much faster once unlocked through Dealership Upgrades.

These achievements should go by fairly quickly as your business improves and your upgrades stack up.

🚗 Buying & Selling Achievements
Another set of grinding achievements — huh, you thought we were done? These achievements focus on buying and selling specific vehicles in the game.

Keep in mind that these don’t cover every vehicle available — only a select few tied to achievements. Some cars become accessible only after reaching certain reputation levels, so if you want to get ahead early, target these specific vehicles to start knocking out early completions.

You can filter vehicles for sale using the computer, and sleeping resets the vehicle queue — though doing so will cost you an entire in-game day.

These achievements become much easier in the late game once your reputation and dealership upgrades are established.

🛒 Store Shopping Achievements
These achievements unlock by purchasing items directly from the Shop. Most are straightforward and will naturally complete as you progress and expand your dealership. You’ll unlock them by buying car parts and other items such as exhaust tape, license plate repair kits, etc.

This section also includes the one achievement tied to the Gas Station, which can be completed by simply making a purchase there.

Overall, these are some of the easiest achievements in the game and should come naturally through regular gameplay.

🕵️‍♂️ RNG Competitor Achievements
YAY! Everyone’s favorite part — the random intruder who shows up just to ruin your hard work.

To trigger these achievements, make sure you have Intruder Random Events enabled in the Settings Menu. Don’t worry — it’s just a simple toggle you can turn on or off at any time.

From my testing, these events are purely RNG-based. The intruder almost always appeared at night for me, which didn’t help since he wears all black — and let’s just say playing on an old LCD monitor didn’t make spotting him any easier (that’s a story for another day).

Currently, the intruder is programmed to do one of two things:

  • Steal gas from your vehicles.

  • Make your cars dirty by throwing dust bags.

You can tell what he’s about to do based on his behavior:

  • If he starts sneaking around like he’s auditioning for Metal Gear Solid V, he’s about to steal gas.

  • If he runs straight toward a car, he’s probably going to dirty it up.

As of the time of writing this guide, the intruder does not destroy vehicles — he’ll just make you waste time cleaning or refueling again.

Bruh Moment
Hidden Achievement: Let the intruder dirty up your car.

Gas Mosquito
Hidden Achievement: Let the intruder steal gas from a car.

🎯 Miscellaneous Achievements
These last two achievements both take place at the Junkyard and are pretty easy to complete compared to the rest of the game.

The first, “I Am Speed!”, requires you to purchase the Tow Truck for $30,000. This is an essential upgrade since it allows you to transport two vehicles at once using the dolly — saving both time and fuel costs.

The second, “King of the Hill”, is even simpler — just climb to the top of the large pile of junk cars located behind the Junkyard. I’ve included screenshots for reference so you know exactly where to go.

I Am Speed!
Hidden Achievement: Pass 100 km/h in a tow-truck.

King of the Hill
Hidden Achievement: Get on top of the car pile in the junkyard.
🆕 Post-Update Achievements
So, turns out that actually wasn’t the end — surprise! The base game originally launched with 96 achievements, but with the recent updates that introduced the Pump Station building and new Mail-In objectives, four additional achievements have been added.

The descriptions for these new ones aren’t exactly the clearest, so I’ll explain exactly what you need to do to get them unlocked. These cover the new features added after launch, meaning you’ll need to explore some of the latest additions to the game to complete them.

It’s not a massive grind compared to the earlier ones, but it’s still worth tackling if you’re going for 100% completion. And hey, let’s just hope they don’t add more… because that means I’ll be back here updating this guide again.

Pump It Up!
You got to pump it up. Upgrade your private gas station to level 3.

Wait, That Worked?
Hidden Achievement: Thanks, I guess...

This one’s a bit of an oddball, but it’s actually pretty simple once you know what to do.

Start by purchasing a rusted-out, non-working vehicle from the Junkyard — there are always three to choose from — or pick up a free abandoned vehicle found around the map. You’ll usually receive an email notification when one becomes available.

Next, you’ll need to mechanically repair the car to 100%. That means every part under the hood must be fully repaired or replaced until it’s in perfect condition.

Once that’s done, wash, wax, and polish the car — but here’s the trick: do NOT fix the bodywork or remove the rust. The car should be pristine mechanically and spotless on the outside, yet still look completely rusted.

Finally, tow or drive the car back to the Crusher located behind the main Junkyard building. Crush the vehicle while it’s fully repaired (100% mechanical) and freshly cleaned, with bodywork still at 0%.

That’s when the achievement “Wait, That Worked?” should pop! Just remember — if you bought the vehicle, you’ll lose the cash you spent once you crush it.

CarDash
Door to door delivery!

Premium Services
They should pay you extra for this! And they do!

These two achievements can easily be unlocked together if you plan ahead.

For CarDash, you simply need to complete and deliver your first Mail-In Order. Once you accept an order from your email, it will outline which vehicle is required, the color it needs to be painted, and the mechanical condition specifications the customer expects. Make sure to review these details carefully before starting.

The Premium Services achievement takes things a step further — it requires you to deliver a Mail-In Order vehicle that’s 100% repaired mechanically, fully restored bodywork, and completely washed.

If you aim for perfection on your very first Mail-In Order, you can unlock both CarDash and Premium Services in one go. Just make sure the car is in perfect condition across all categories before delivering it to the customer.

🏁 Conclusion
And that’s a wrap! 🎉 You’ve now got all the tips, tricks, and strategies to tackle every achievement in Car Dealer Simulator — from money-making and grinding tasks to mail-in orders, junkyard secrets, and post-update content.

I hope this guide helped you streamline your gameplay and make the journey to 100% completion a little easier and more enjoyable. Be sure to check back if new updates or achievements are added, as I’ll try to keep this guide updated.
