Sprinklers!

Description
Waters nearby crops from adjacent metal drums or rain barrels. Keeps crops at ~85% water, if supply exists. Supports vanilla and modded crops.

Read the "Water Those Crops!" magazine -> Make the sprinkler -> Place the sprinkler -> Dig Furrows (Sprinkler waters 3 tiles out every direction) -> Place and fill water barrels (I placed them close to the sprinkler, but you can use the Check option to see how far the barrels will register) -> Water Those Crops!

The sprinklers are not automatic, but rather a quicker way to water multiple crops without over-watering.
