no update required, there is no cosmoteer update and it worked launching for me just fine

it must collide with one of your mods
probably a mod that modifies the base_part or something, try posting the error log on cosmoteer discord modding channel

You need to update. Installing it will cause crashes

Dude, this is awesome! But i think you should do a EMP module, that will create aura around your ship for a while
