To fix the game you need to download dgVoodoo v2.4
(its glide and old dx wrapper)

So after googling and downloading
extract dgVoodooSetup.exe ; D3DImm.dll ; DDraw.dll (last two files are in MS folder)
to the game directory

2 configuration

launch dgvoosetup.exe
in general tab tic Fullscreen and Centered full screen
in DirectX tab
choose dgVoodoo Virtual 3D Accelerated card ; Vram 65536
tic Application controlled fullscreen/windowed state

So,its my settings you can experiment
with Antialising and other options.

Final step

there is bat file called RunOnRadeon.bat
(without dgvoodoo this file is useless (graph is not displayed correctly) )

But with dgvoodoo this file makes game run corretly

=========================================================================
this bat file contains only one string
+radeon 1
So you can paste it in "Set launch options" in steam

Thanks a lot ! This dgVoodoo method works on win11 24h2 system with nvidia 4060 in 2025.
The last dgVoodoo2_86 version still works.
My previous try with DDrawCompat-v0.40 and v0.37 failed.
The key is to remember copy 3 dll files in MS to the same folder where dgVoodoo.exe locates.

Bellow my comment is the best way to run this old game "The Entente Gold". That old game i have played when i was a kid after 17 years with CD-rom.

Test on my PC, core i5 4570, ram 16gb, Amd RX470, SSD and working perfectly, if you see white button on menu or white tree, ect, then you can use my method:
1. Download http://dege.freeweb.hu/dgVoodoo2/dgVoodoo2_53.zip . (Only version 2.53 working with me if your PC same as above)
2. Copy 3 file in MS and dgvoosetup.exe to main folder game
3. First run dgvoosetup.exe and choose path config save then untick watermark in two tab dgvoosetup.exe (your choice). Untouch else.
4. Add +radeon 1 in "Set launch options" for not run "RunOnRadeon.bat" any more (The same way). Now you can start with shortcut game on desktop.
5. Play game. Have fun!
(set resolution in game 1280 x 1024 for safe working)

you dont need this file
just add +radeon 1 in "Set launch options" in steam

Where on earth did you get the run on radeon file i dont have it in latest version neither version you got have it please help

I FIXED IT! I used an older version of dxvoodoo. The 2016 version.

A lot of the textures in game are white, like all the trees. Almost all of the menu is white too, like the buttons. Oil is white, etc. Any idea how to fix this?

RunOnRadeon.bat is not in the game folder. Can I obtain it somewhere else?
