Secondly, get this as well.
(it gives you stats n such, although there's no breakdown of the character like some of their other characters)

And thirdly, some words from the creator themself:

Originally posted by InklessBrush:
Majority of the knowledge here are required to play Tyrant, not fighting him, as any state changing option and block string have pretty clear cut and tell for the opponent.
Scythe (And How The Super Armor Works)
Every Special when he is equipped with his scythe, is a scythe move, and has a special slider called Guard Point. (Except for Impose and Treason.)

When set, it selects 4 frames to apply Super Armor to, for example, 5 ~ 8 frames, which is the fastest that Guard Point can be set to.
After the opponent has blocked a Scythe move, Tyrant loses access to Guard Point and instead activates Wind Up, which makes Impose unavailable, but makes your Scythe moves 6 frames faster, and give you access to Typhoon and Avalanche. Tyrant may use Force to enable Wind Up without having the opponent blocking their Scythe attack.

It should also be worthy to note that Treason is a punish move for stuff that Guard Break, grab Tyrant, give armor, or have invulnerability frames (projectile or otherwise).
Stuff like Guard Breaks, grabs, or moves with armor that hit MUST touch Tyrant, or else it won't activate.
Though stuff like BackSway (Which does not hit Tyrant.) can activate Treason from anywhere.

It's also important to note that his Super Armor works differently than most other Super Armor with other characters. (Which is a common trait of Lam characters.)
Instead of continuing freely, when his Super Armor comes into effect, both Tyrant and the opponent are actionable 2 frames before he hits them.
Projectiles (And No Scythe Stance)
Ice Spikes are Tyrant's main source of pressure outside of melee attacks, Tyrant can destroy them to get hit cancel, as well as the Step effect next turn when he's in combo, though the opponent can do this as well (no Step effect though). Summoned primarily by Cataclysm and Conquer.

Ice Shards are small projectiles that give 10 Freeze regardless of whether or not the opponent blocks it or not. They can be hit, but reap no reward for doing so. Shatter turns all Ice Spikes into Ice Shards.

Ice Floor is technically a projectile which, when the opponent is on the floor, passively generates Freeze. Created through a variety of ways.

Bombard's projectiles are large projectiles that have a limited axis, being susceptible to missing by fast movement, but deal a good amount of damage compared to the rest of the ice projectiles.

Typhoon is a Normal that throws out the scythe, activating it's hitbox at 20 frames, (15 if we count the moment that it's out.) starts to return to Tyrant when it's hitbox activates, summons an Ice Shard for every blocked hit, and cannot be hit by the opponent at all.

Avalanche is Typhoon's Super counterpart, being active the frame it is out, and is in the Avalanche state for approximately 48 frames, before exiting the Avalanche state and deactivating the hitbox, returning to Tyrant in the process. When blocked, it stays in the state for only two hits, (Which summon two Ice Shards for each blocked hit.) before exiting the Avalanche state and goes to return to Tyrant. When not blocked, (Assuming Tyrant is doing this in the corner.) it stays in the Avalanche state for approximately 19 frames less (29 frames.) than if it weren't hitting the opponent.

Domination isn't technically a projectile, but the shockwave it releases is a projectile, exclusive to when you use Domination to flag the scythe. It also generates Ice Floor.

Conveniently, all three transition into the No Scythe stance, which is what I'll be talking about now.

Abandoning the Scythe moves, all his Specials are replaced by more consistently faster moves, (Frame wise and movement wise.) but at the cost of having no super armor. (Asides from Bash having Super Armor from frames 6 ~ 7. (if anybody makes a joke about this i will put a hole where your heel and your big toe are in all of your socks)) Scythe can be manually retrieved via Treason.

This stance also gives access to a long range super, Warhead, which summons 3 Ice Spikes at it's hitbox.
Step (And Slide)
Step is a toggle that allows Tyrant to move in a 6 way axis when near an Ice Spike, (Outwards up, outwards, outwards down, and the same applies to inwards.) which is set using Directional Influence. Cannot be micro-adjusted (It will always have a set velocity and height.)

Slide is a toggle which allows Tyrant to move inwards and outwards via Directional Influence when on Ice Floor. Cannot be micro-adjusted. (It will always have a set velocity.)
Freeze (And Isolation)
Freeze is Tyrant's main gimmick, which is built up mainly through the opponent blocking Tyrant's melee attacks, though there are a multitude of ways to build Freeze on the opponent.

When hitting or being normally blocked by the opponent when they're at full Freeze (Which is 100.), they get Frozen, dealing damage that scales with the amount of super meter Tyrant has, resetting Freeze to 0, and putting the opponent in -15 Block Advantage, regardless of anything prior.

When the opponent is at full Freeze, Tyrant gains access to a Guard Break, Ultimatum, which is essentially just Tyranny, but it is a Guard Break and deals 100 (10 if we're being accurate to the code.)

Isolation is a Level 5 install which gives Tyrant access to Ultimatum regardless of having the opponent at full Freeze or not, and progressively raises Freeze to 35 at all times.
Credits (And Other Miscellaneous Facts)
  • InklessBrush, for making the character, the thumbnail art, and giving some words idk
  • Cherry, for one feedback

oh and some other things that dont fit in any categories but should be noted

his hustle gives 150 Freeze when you use it for 60 frames

scythe can be flagged mid-flight

and thats it, now you can genocide your opponent's species or whatever

note that an update will be pushed out soon, so inaccuracies (primarily the bit about Ice Spikes) may merely just be a patch ahead :marten_sip:
