This guide is for you.

Welcome to a roleplay journey where you become the NPC. We dive deep into the structure of the Hunter's Guild, allowing you to step into the boots of its dedicated members. Forget the solitary path of a freelance hunter; here, you will serve a purpose within a greater machine, with its own ranks, rules, and responsibilities.

"Let Sapphire Light Be Upon Us, For The Glory of the Guild."

The Guild operates on two core paths:

The Fighter Class: The Knightly Order
This is the Guild's mailed fist. As a Guild Cadet, you are the apprentice, the servant to all in a co-op party, learning the art of war. Through promotion, you can ascend to the rank of Guild Knight, a leader on the battlefield who focuses on combat and support buffs to ensure the party's victory.

The Support Class: The Handler Corps
This is the Guild's voice and mind. As a Guild Assistant, you are the logistical backbone, serving the party from the rear. Your promotion leads to becoming a Guild Handler, the crucial information expert who calls out elemental weaknesses and breakable parts, all while supporting with items like Wide-Range and Life Powder.

Both the Knightly Order and the Handler Corps serve directly under the authority of the Guild Master, the pinnacle of the Guild's hierarchy. Choose your path, find your rank, and become a living part of the world.

Your new career in the Hunter's Guild starts now.

Naming Convention:
Your new identity must follow the Guild's official naming standard to ensure uniformity and recognition. The format is:

3. Open the Save Editor and load your save file, choose your slot like in game that you want to edit, check twice so you are not editing the wrong character.(Offline mode recommended).

4. Navigate to the "Information" tab.

Lores & Roles
Lore: The Guild Knights - The Guild's Unseen Hand

The Guild Knights are the elite special forces and internal affairs division of the Hunter's Guild, a group whose very name inspires a mix of respect and fear. Their role is a complex blend of public-facing chivalry and shadowy operations, making them one of the most intriguing and mysterious facets of the Guild's hierarchy.

Who They Are: The Guild's Elite
Guild Knights are not merely strong hunters; they are the best of the best, chosen for their exceptional combat skills, intelligence, and physical prowess. The bar for entry is incredibly high. Each city's contingent of Guild Knights is led by a Commander (団長), who must be personally approved by the local Guild Master. These leaders are consistently noted as being top-class hunters in their own right. Their numbers are strictly limited—for example, Minegarde can host a maximum of only 12 Knights at once, though it currently operates with only 9.

Responsibilities: Public Protectors and Shadow Operatives
A Guild Knight's duties are divided into two spheres:

  • Public & Official Duties:
    • Defending Cities & Guild Outposts
    • Overseeing Hunters
    • Responding to Incidents
  • Covert & Enforcement Duties (The Source of Mystery):
    • Hunting the Hunters: This is their most infamous role. In-game armor descriptions heavily imply their mission is to hunt down poachers and rogue hunters.
    • Black Operations: They are sent on unspecified "black ops," missions so secret that their nature is not disclosed to the public.

Equipment: Uniforms of Office and Shadows
Their equipment reflects their dual nature:
  • Formal Uniforms: The Guild Knight, Blue Guild, and Red Guild sets (Blademaster) for public duties.
  • Covert Gear: The Gunner versions of these sets and the Guild Bard set for shadowy operations.

Conclusion: Canon and Fanon
The popularity of the Guild Knights solidified during the 4th generation of Monster Hunter games. They are the necessary, sharp blade in the shadows, ensuring the Guild's authority and the world's ecological balance are never taken lightly.

Lore: The Vanguard Handlers - The Guild's Scholar-Warriors

While most Guild Handlers are trained for support and research, a specialized branch exists for the most dangerous frontiers: the Vanguard Handlers. These unique individuals are the ultimate fusion of scholarly wisdom and martial prowess, acting as both a hunter's strategic partner and a capable fighter in their own right.

Who They Are: The Guild's Dual-Specialists
Vanguard Handlers are a rare breed. They undergo the same rigorous academic training as all Handlers, but also pass demanding combat trials. They are deployed to extreme environments like the Everstream or with hunters investigating volatile Elder Dragons, where pure research is not enough. They are the Guild's answer when a situation calls for a scholar who can not only record a monster's behavior but also survive its direct attention.

Personality & Drive: The Fighter-Scholar
A Vanguard Handler retains the curiosity and passion of their peers, but it's tempered by battlefield pragmatism.
  • Their fascination with monsters is practical; they study anatomy to find the most efficient weak points and behavior to predict deadly attacks.
  • They are known for their calm demeanor under pressure, able to rattle off elemental weaknesses while dodging a fiery blast.
  • Like Sophia (Guildmarm from MH4), they may have eccentric specialties, but their passion is channeled into combat application—for example, not just loving Brachydios, but mastering the properties of its explosive slime.

Responsibilities: Knowledge Backed by Action
A Vanguard Handler's duties expand the traditional role into a combat-support hybrid:
  • Tactical Combat Support: They do more than call out weaknesses; they actively create openings by flinching monsters with precise shots, placing environmental traps, or using items to control the battlefield.
  • Frontline Research: They can gather data from within the thick of combat, allowing for observations no passive researcher could ever make.
  • Partner Protection: They are trained to defend themselves and their hunter partner. In a pinch, a Vanguard Handler can hold the line, using weapons like Sword & Shield or Light Bowgun to create space for a healing hunter to recover.
  • Comprehensive Field Team Support: Their most vital role is enabling the entire hunting team's success. They are masters of group logistics, providing crucial support through:
    • Deploying healing and buffing items with the Wide-Range skill to sustain the entire party.
    • Using Life Powder and Dust of Life for emergency team-wide recovery.
    • Managing the team's inventory and crafting more healing items during combat lulls.
    • Coordinating environmental hazards and turf wars to the team's advantage.

Appearance & Connection to Guild Lore
A Vanguard Handler's gear is a blend of form and function. They often wear modified versions of standard Guild uniforms, reinforced for combat, or practical armor that still bears Guild insignia. They are always equipped with a weapon and a notebook, symbolizing their dual purpose.

This role represents the Guild's adaptability. The Guild Master sanctions these elite handlers for missions where knowledge and force must be applied simultaneously. They are a testament to the Guild's understanding that in the most untamed corners of the world, the best way to preserve life is to be prepared to fight for it, and that a well-supported hunter team is an unstoppable force.
