Problem

When launching Mafia: Definitive Edition via Steam, the game works in windowed mode.
But as soon as you switch to fullscreen, the mouse stops moving and the game freezes.

How to Fix

1. Open the game folder:

In Steam, right-click Mafia: Definitive Edition → Manage → Browse local files.
Or manually go to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mafia Definitive Edition\

Main executable file:

mafiadefinitiveedition.exe

2. Right-click on mafiadefinitiveedition.exe → Properties.

3. Go to the Compatibility tab.

4. Check the box:

Disable fullscreen optimizations

5. Click Apply and close the window.

After the Fix

The game should now run properly in fullscreen mode without freezing.

📌 Tip: Even if you launch the game through the launcher, apply this setting to the main .exe file.
