OpenComposite to increase pixel density
Step 1: Set OpenComposite as the default runtime

This configuration is designed for users playing VR games via the Meta PC app and Link Cable.

Opencomposite will allow us to use the OpenXR runtime directly. Don't forget to change in your Meta Quest Link app the OpenXR runtime in Settings > General > Set Meta Quest Link as active OpenXR Runtime
Download and install the OpenComposite Launcher (https://github.com/aashishvasu/OpenComposite/blob/main/README.md).

Switch the Runtime: Run the OpenComposite.exe application and click the "Switch to OpenComposite" button.

All games will now launch with OpenComposite.

Step 2: Force High Pixel Density via opencomposite.ini

The single most significant change for sharpness is forcing a higher rendering resolution (Supersampling) via a configuration file

Locate the Game's Main Installation Folder:
  • In your Steam Library, find Le Mans Ultimate.
  • Right-click on the game, go to Manage > Browse local files.
  • The path is typically ...\Steam\steamapps\common\Le Mans Ultimate.

Create the Configuration File:
  • Inside the main Le Mans Ultimate folder, create a new text file.
  • Rename the file to opencomposite.ini (ensure the file extension is changed from .txt to .ini).

Add the Supersampling Setting:
  • Open the opencomposite.ini file with a text editor (like Notepad).
  • Add the following line, replacing X.X with your desired ratio: supersampleRatio=1.5
  • Recommendation: Start with 1.5 for a good balance. A value of 1.5 equals 150% Supersampling. You can go higher (e.g., 1.75 or 2.0) if your GPU can handle the increased workload.

Save the file and close. This setting will now be applied every time you launch Le Mans
Ultimate in VR.

Now you should experience a good increase in sharpness in VR.
Further increase performance and sharpness with OpenXR Toolkit
The OpenXR Toolkit provides options for performance and visual improvements, like foveated rendering and cas sharpening. This should help us to further increase the sharpness without a decrease in performance

Install the OpenXR Toolkit and start it (green text that says it's active):
https://mbucchia.github.io/OpenXR-Toolkit/ (yes the last version is 1.3.2 and there will be no newer
versions)

Launch the game and open the menu:
  • Start Le Mans Ultimate in VR.
  • Press the shortcut CTRL+S on your keyboard to open the OpenXR Toolkit configuration menu in your headset.

Activate foveated rendering (performance boost):
  • Navigate to the foveated rendering section.
  • Activate this feature. Foveated rendering reduces the resolution at the edges of your view (where your eyes don't focus) to gain significant GPU performance. I found that performance mode and balanced pattern works quite well.

Activate CAS Sharpening (visual clarity):
  • Navigate to the Appearance tab/section.
  • Find the Sharpening option, which uses the CAS algorithm.
  • Activate it and adjust the value. I personally like even 100%
