In your steam Library:
1- Launch QR Controller (You need to buy it / find key online for it to be there)
2- Click on the Controller Type on the top left of QR Controller



3- Find and select Sonic Racing Cross World controller




4- Set the number of controllers you need
(Its better to have this match with the number of controllers you need, since Sonic Racing will sometimes grab an unused controller as the main controller, I'll update the guide if this turns out to be fixed)

5- Scan QR Code with your phone:


6- You are ready! Keep QR Controller open, and launch Sonic Racing in steam to play!

Really looking forward to playing 4 player split screen on the train with people! Couldn't do that on the switch without another controller :))!

The way the controller is setup, you can slide your finger between
DRIFT/GAS / Break

You can continue to hold GAS and drift at the same time. (The buttons are that way since there are no triggers on the phone, but I found it essential to be able to gas and drift at the same time)



If you have ideas of how to improve this, you can modify the controller fully in the Controller Type menu, by clicking modify controller:


But maybe thats for another guide :)

As of the time of writing this guide, Sonic Racing has a bug, that only lets it detect one arbitrary controller as Player 1, and only Player 1 can control the menus.

This doesn't matter as much in game, but if you have a controller plugged in, it can be that, that controller has been designated player 1.

So if you encounter this issue, I recommend:

1- unplugging any other controllers (Or use them in combination with QR Controllers!)
2- Assign yourself to other controllers (Sometimes Sonic picks QR Controller #2, #3, or #4 as the primary controller... So reassigning yourself by dragging the player card in the Admin Panel, or in the controller going into settings, and doing Drop Controller, could help fix it.)
