Counter-Strike 2 currently has only one Steam achievement: “A New Beginning”, with the cryptic description: “This is Counter-Strike, too.” Unlocking it is incredibly simple.

1. Launch the game — Counter-Strike 2.
   
2. Enter any game mode — Practice, Deathmatch, Matchmaking, or a private server.
   
3. Buy one thing — Open buy menu, buy something to complete.
   
4. Play at least one full round — you must complete a round (not just load in).
   
5. Exit the game — the achievement will unlock shortly after.

You’ll earn the achievement just by starting and exiting a single game session. No kills, no wins required. Just presence, one round, and departure.

A New Beginning
This is Counter-Strike, too.
You stepped into Counter-Strike 2, met your first joerney, and the game whispered: Welcome. You belong here.

In my case: I unlocked this achievement when I was killed for the first time.
