Liberation Day
Liberation Day
Free your first slave.

Just free your first slave, and the achievement will unlock right away. It’s one of the earliest and easiest achievements you’ll earn in Freedom Cry.
Firepower
Firepower
Kill 5 guards at once with a blunderbuss.

Load Memory 4, “A Ship of His Own,” and play the Firecrackers Tutorial (15–30 seconds).
Do not jump down to kill the tutorial guards; stay on the roof and move forward. On the left side, there’s a guard—take him out, then head toward the powder keg (marked with a symbol).

Once above the powder keg, switch to the Firecrackers and throw them down. Wait for all five guards to investigate the noise, then shoot the powder keg with the Blunderbuss.

Reload the checkpoint if you fail. This is one of the easiest and repeatable ways to earn this achievement.
His Word Was “Perhaps”
His Word Was “Perhaps”
Complete all missions

This is part of the main storyline and cannot be missed. The achievement will automatically unlock after defeating the Governor, so there’s no need to farm items, complete side missions, or take extra time. Just play through the story naturally, and it will be awarded to you.
Silence, Fool!
Silence, Fool!
Kill a guard ringing a bell.

To unlock this achievement, you need to kill a guard who is ringing an alarm bell.

A simple method is to visit a plantation and sneak near an alarm bell. Then stand in plain the sight. while some overseers might attack, one will always run toward the bell. Once you hear the bell ring at least once, sprint to the guard ringing it and eliminate them. The achievement will then unlock.
Killer Killer
Killer Killer
Harpoon a killer whale.

After liberating the plantation at Tortuga, a Killer Whale icon will appear at the coordinates (336, 372).

Sail your ship toward these coordinates. You will notice a light blue patch in the water, indicating the whale’s location. Approach carefully and defeat the Killer Whale to complete this objective.
His Own Medicine
His Own Medicine
Disarm the Gouverneur and kill him with the branding iron.

This occurs at the end of the final mission. Once you defeat him, a cutscene will play that cannot be skipped until the credits roll.

After the cutscene ends and you reach the mansion, use your Blunderbuss from a hidden position in the bushes to take out the four guards at the gate. This will force the Gouverneur to flee down to the beach. Chase him while avoiding or eliminating any guards along the way.

When he reaches his final location by the beach (an area crowded with guards), hide to stop anyone else from following you. Then, use smoke bombs to take out all the surrounding guards without harming the Gouverneur. Once he’s alone, switch to your fists and counter/disarm him to finish him off.
Seeds of independence
Seeds of independence
Liberate 500 slaves.

Surprisingly, this is simple to do. You gain the ability to liberate slaves immediately after the first DLC mission (if memory serves). From there, you can freely explore the town and liberate 3–5 slaves in random encounters, but the most efficient way is at plantations. Each plantation can give you 30–40 slaves, depending on your story progress. Be patient and thorough.

On the first island, there are three plantations, with a few more scattered throughout the map. Later on, slave ships become available after the 3rd or 4th mission, each containing up to 90 slaves—these make reaching 500 slaves much faster.

A good strategy is to first explore the map, collecting treasure chests, uncovering secrets, and visiting viewpoints. By then, you should have around 300 slaves liberated. Continue visiting a couple of plantations (they respawn quickly) and perhaps another slave ship or two, and you’ll reach your goal with ease!
Mer-man
Mer-man
Swim a total of 1 nmi.

To unlock this achievement, you must swim a total of 1 nautical mile. You can jump off the Experto Crede or any dock and swim in a straight line for about 10–15 minutes.

Note: This can be done during your normal playthrough, so you don’t need to set up a separate session. just swim whenever you have the chance while exploring.
Thug Life
Thug Life
Plunder 30 ships.

To unlock this achievement, you must board 30 enemy ships and successfully force them to surrender. Objectives vary depending on the size of the ship and may include defeating the crew, detonating powder stores, or destroying the flag.

Once the onboard objective is completed, the ship is considered plundered. Afterward, you can repair your own ship or bribe the enemy to reduce your wanted level before moving on to the next target.
Roped In
Roped In
Perform 5 air assassinations from a swinging rope.

This achievement is unlocked by performing an air assassination from a swinging rope on the Experto Crede.

Ropes can be found along the edges of the starboard and port sides and appear as slightly glowing vertical ropes. A simple example is near the wheel at the stern. Walk toward the rope, climb onto the ledge, and crouch. Equip your hidden blades, and when an enemy ship comes close enough, jump toward it. If an enemy is below, press attack to perform the air assassination.

Repeat this five times (it can be across multiple boardings), and the achievement will unlock.
All Aboard!
All Aboard!
Board a ship without losing any crew members.

To earn this achievement, you must board a ship with at least ten enemies and ensure no crew members on your ship are killed during the engagement.

It’s recommended to free a large number of Maroons and slaves beforehand, as this increases your crew size and provides better weapons. Start by finding a small-sized enemy ship, then attack and board it. If you have the right ship, the objective will indicate kill 10+ crew.

Once on board, equip the machete and quickly eliminate enemies while completing any other objectives. If successful, when prompted to repair the Experto Crede or bribe the enemy, the achievement will unlock.
