From then on, the quest begins, and we must complete the following requirements in the Place of Memories so that the family of these two brothers appears (after completing one, you must return here again, and so on with all of them; it's not worth doing everything at once and going to the lair).

1. Defeat the Divine Dragon
2. Defeat Malilith
3. After watching the Alexandria sequence
4. The scene where Zidane talks to himself
5. The scene of Dagger seeing one of his memories on the ship
6. The scene with the giant eye in the sky
7. The battle with Tiamat
8. The scene with the two planets colliding

And from here the confusion begins. After completing all of this, if you return to the Tantalus lair once more, the chest with the reward is available to obtain, which is none other than a Protective Ring.

The point is, if you keep doing all of the following and come back here, you might have a second chance to get another Ring, as the same dialogue will occur over and over again.
