100% ACHIEVEMENT GUIDE | Dying Light: The Beast
By XEALEEN
This is a comprehensive guide detailing a way of getting for all achievements in the game. If you have never played this game or are just hunting for achievements, this guide will show you how to get them all.

The search function of a browser may be used to find a specific achievement faster (Ctrl+F).
I wish you success in getting all the in-game achievements

Work in progress: work on this guide is still ongoing. Maybe now it looks like just a list of achievements, but it will not be so for long. Very soon, I will update each achievement with a detailed description and a screenshot or video explaining how to unlock it.

Thank you for you patience!

Achievement Info
They tried to break him. They created a beast.

Many years have passed since the world heard your name. Everyone thought you had vanished without a trace, lost in the chaos, but how wrong they were. Now you will make them regret about this never happened, because you will take revenge on everyone who took your freedom and turned you into a monster. You don't belong to yourself; there's a beast within you, yearning to be unleashed. Whether to contain it or unleash your newfound power is up to you. You don't know what's right, but you do know that your enemies will feel the pain and agony you've endured, and this will grant you a way to unlock all the achievements in the game.

Complete the Story and Side Quests
Kyle Crane, the original game's protagonist, now returns: you were kidnapped, held captive, and subjected to excruciating and inhumane experiments.
Only your will to live helped you survive the torture and pain, and now you've managed to escape. You face a choice: run with your tail between your legs as far as possible, or find those responsible
for your suffering and repay them in kind? Complete the story and side quests and earn achievements for completing key moments as you progress.

Explore The World Around You
This achievement category will likely be familiar to players of previous games — in the open world, you'll find numerous safe zones that can serve as a place to hide from nighttime pursuits and help you in your gameplay. Don't hesitate to interact with the game world, and you'll be rewarded not only with related achievements but also with gameplay bonuses.

They Deserve It
They stand between you and your goal, and there are many of them. Deal with your enemies, whatever they are — humans or zombies, in a variety of ways, using the weapons in your arsenal. Show your determination and, if necessary, cruelty. Let everyone know that standing in your way is a mistake for which they will pay with their lives. Crush them with a car, burn them with fire, kick them, and tear them apart with your bare hands. The beast inside you yearns for freedom.

Find Collectibles
The open world is full of not only dangers that pose a threat even to you, but also secrets that can greatly aid you on your journey. Use every possible means to reach even the most hidden corners. Travel the world by car or climb across rooftops — no obstacle can stop your thirst for exploration.

Spoiler Alert
Some achievements are designed in such a way that they may contain story spoilers, so the descriptions of some of them may also reveal some story details ahead of time.
For those who don't want to spoil their experience of the game, I would like to inform you that this guide may contain certain spoilers for the game's main story and side missions.
If you want to have a self-guided experience, I recommend leaving the guide and returning later when you need help. I will not accept any claims regarding game spoilers.

I Know What I'm Talking About.
I remember the release of Dying Light 2 here on Steam and created several guides right after the release. My achievement guide has helped thousands of people get the achievements they need and it is one of the most popular for the game, so I intend to do the same for Dying Light the Beast. I would greatly appreciate any tips and tricks to make this guide even more useful and user-friendly.

Don't forget to check DL2 guides later.

🧟‍♂️ Free at Last

This one is going to be your first ingame achievement. Story related and can't be missed. Unlockes after you pass the episode where you have to run through a long corridor while the doors are slamming shut, and then after the game logo, get outdoors.

🧟 Experiment on the Loose

Another unmissable achievement. To unlock it you have to meet Olivia and the fight with Reaper Chimera Boss.

So the boss fight is fairly easy. Watch Reaper's animation and wait for him to charge toward you. Dodge to the side and hit him in the back as soon as he hits a wall or column.

After his HP bar reaches 50%, the boss will start summoning zombies. I recommend dodging them and not wasting your energy, focusing on the boss. The fight ends once you completely deplete his HP bar.

🧟 New Friends

Leave the Church and make your way to the town, till you reach Town Hall. Enter it through the main door. Kill all the zombies and face another Chimera — Defect. That big boy won't let you get close to make a good hit chain, so try to put him on fire with molotov or by exploding the gas barrels.

Once Defect is dead you will face some survivors that need your help to restore the power. Proceed with this mission and once you`ve done, the achievements is your.

🧟 Craftsman's Apprentice

This one is unmissable too. Once you help the people in Town Hall, you will be rewarded with Weapon mod.

Equip it to your weapon, by selecting weapon and pressing F key, then pick a weapon mod to equip.
Once you`ve done, the achievement is yours.

🧟 Largo Embargo

Story related achievement, can't be missed as long as you progress through the main quests.
Restore the power plant by starting the turbines, after which you will need to return to the Town Center.

Talk to the Sheriff, the achievement will unlock immediately after you leave the office

🧟 Less Obedient

Story related achievement, can't be missed as long as you pregress through the main quests.
🧟 Enhanced Telepathy

Story related achievement, can't be missed as long as you pregress through the main quests.
🧟 There You Are!

Story related achievement, can't be missed as long as you pregress through the main quests.
🧟 Glimpse into the Future

Story related achievement, can't be missed as long as you pregress through the main quests.
🧟 Iconic

Can be unlocked right after you leave church when you defeat your first Chimera. Use you perk point to unlock Dropkick

Now lower any zombie HP and do this combo: run + jump + double press E. This Dropkick should kill zombie to unlock the achievement.

🧟 I Still Don't Approve of Mindless Fun

Keep an eye out for abandoned cars; they can be found on the minimap, but they usually look like trucks. Get in and run over or run over as many zombies as possible.

🧟 Gunslinger

🧟 Apex Predator

Volatile is the one of the most dangerous enemies in the game, encountered only at night or in various dungeons and catacombs hidden from sunlight. They are difficult to defeat with any other zombie type due to their unique characteristics: they are strong, fast, and emit loud screams. If they spot a player, they will pursue them until they manage to hide well or die.

They have a large amount of HP, making them extremely difficult to kill in direct combat. I recommend luring them to a safe area and, while they are weakened by UV rays, setting them on fire and finishing them off or shooting them with firearms.

🧟 Blacksmith

You can repair your weapon by opening your inventory if you have the required number of consumables. Hold R on weapon to repair it.

🧟 Firefighter

You should start from choosing Flamethrower Survivor skill to learn how to craft one.

🧟 Sunday Morning Run

Cummulative achievement that is likely familiar to players of the original Dying Light. Just walk, run and move on your feet to progress with this achievement. Unlocks naturally during your gameplay.
🧟 Hexakosioihexekontahexa

Pay attention to the red rage bar below your health bar at the bottom left of the screen. Every time you deal damage, block, or parry an enemy attack, this bar fills. Once the bar is full, your character enters a rage state and is capable of killing zombies with bare hands, tearing off their limbs and ripping them apart.

You'll first see this ability in the prologue, before you get into the elevator. Continue actively filling up the bar, and once rage kicks in, try to kill as many enemies as possible. This achievement is cumulative and will unlock over time through natural gameplay.

🧟 Craftsman
🧟 Ultimate Survivor

There are four character perk trees in the game. Three of them are the Survivor perk trees divided by your gameplay style. To unlock Survivor Skill points you have to complete quests, kill enemies and get XP with any other possible ways.

Seems like you have to reach 21 Survivor level to unlock all of them

🧟 Ultimate Beast

There are four character perk trees in the game. One of them is the Beast perk tree. According to in-game information, unlocking the Beast's abilities requires corresponding points, which are awarded for killing Chimeras.

It's important to note that each new Chimera type killed awards one perk point. Killing existing Chimeras does not award points. Therefore, to unlock the achievement, you'll need to defeat at least 8 different Сhimera types:

The Reaper
— Slow-moving Brute
— Melee-focused attacks
— Charging strikes
The Defect
— Melee-focused attacks
— Large AoE Stun attack
The Mist
— Ranged projectile attacks
— Inflicts Toxic debuff
— Large AoE Stun attack
The Behemoth
— Summons other Infected
— Strong melee close-range strikes
— Ranged projectile attacks
The Toxin
— Ranged projectile attacks
— Always stays at long-range
— Inflicts Toxic debuff
The Matriarch
— Long-range melee attacks
— Summons other Infected
The Wraith
— Has the power to turn invisible
— Mid-range Toxic attacks
The Colossus
— Multiple large AoE attacks
— Most attacks inflict Stun
— Ranged projectile attacks
— Charging strikes

🧟 Know What 'Castor' Means?

Collect all 11 beaver statues to unlock this achievement.

🧟 And Don't Forget to Wash Your Hands

These audio logs reveal backstory and are often hidden in Abandoned vehicles, Office buildings and residential zones.

🧟 What Happened at the Asylum

🧟 Family Picture
🧟 Cabinet of Curiosities
🧟 Good Samaritan

There are 20 side quests that should be completed in order to unlock this achievement.

🧟 Crane on a Monument

Find Memorial Hill of Heroes location on your map and reach the top of it to unlock the achievement.

🧟 We're Safe Here!

There are 25 safe zones in the open world, but 3 of them are mandatory to activate, so 22 of them must be activated to count toward the achievement.

You'll be introduced to the safe zone activation process when you reach the church after the prologue and, before meeting Olivia, make the building safe by killing all enemies and turning on the generator to activate the UV lamps.

🧟 And Then There Was Light

There are 9 transformer stations in the open world, all of which must be activated to count toward the achievement.
