Wiki That!

Beskrivning
Wiki That! is a mod that which provides tools to quickly access wiki pages related to various aspects of Project Zomboid, directly from in-game. It adds context menu options to items, fluids, vehicles, and other game elements.

How to use
  • Right-click on an item, fluid, vehicle part, or other game element to open the context menu.
  • Look for the "Wiki That!" option in the context menu.*
  • Click on "Wiki That!" to open the corresponding wiki page in your web browser or Steam overlay if activated.

A few tips !
  • The game will be paused when opening a wiki page but you can disable it in the mod options menu.
  • Selecting multiple items will open all of them in a submenu instead to access each individual unique items wiki pages.

Supported game elements
  • Right clicked items in the inventory.
  • VHS and other medias in the inventory.
  • Fluids inside items.
  • Vehicles.
  • Foraging icons.
  • Traits in the character creation menu.

I'm like the guy below, but I play the game vanilla like 1 time, then I install a whole bunch of mods.

Last time I played Zomboid was around 4 or 5 years ago. I just bought the game literally right now and as I always do when getting a moddable game, I install mods before even starting.

This will be tremendously useful as I forgot almost everything about the game, lol

@Some Random Gamer
I'll look into automatically linking to the Steam page of modded items

Yeah, it's a shame a lot of mods have really poor documentation, if any. The best you can do for most is just link to the Steam Workshop page, but it's not really the same. Still, this is going to be incredibly helpful for getting my friends into the game! At least, when multiplayer rolls around again :P

I have a lot of plans for wiki support that I will work on when I am available to in the next week end, and which I listed in the description, and that I think are all possible for the most part

Thank you guys

@Some Random Gamer
If mods have wikis of their own, I could possibly add support for them to link their own wiki pages to their own items, but that's barely present in the current modding scene. Currently it only supports the official wiki

If you mean making such mods, you can simply learn how to do that and with experience you find obscure methods to do stuff haha 😄
