Current location of all Cats in game, Screenshots hopefully make them easier to find. Their location is the same in all seasons as far as I'm aware. As it stands they don't seem to have any use besides cosmetic in game other than following you around and raising tending.

Interacting: Simply petting a cat should be enough to get it to follow you, if it isn't you can hold "Ctrl" while you pet it, it's a bit finicky at the moment but holding "Ctrl" is how you change the cat's state from stay to follow, It might take a few attempts as it doesn't always seem to register the change at this time.

Note 1: You have the option to change all of the cats names, I don't know if they vary from file to file but these are listed by the default names on mine.
Note 2: At this time cats locations reset every morning much like faeries.

Locations:

Luna: Luna should be located in your starter house every morning begining on day 1.

Buster: Buster can be located on the left side of your shop near the chickens when facing the entrance.

Cali: Cali can be found on the way to the giant tortoise to get your daily buff every morning, she is just past the rabbits along the right side of the cliff face near the trees.

Lillefix: Lillefix can be found just to the left of the giant tortoise his house is easily visable when you see the tortoise.

Umbra: Umbra can be located after crossing the bridge and heading uphill towards the miniture goblin encampment, they will be on the same flat area to the right about 20 feet before you get to the goblins.

Orange Meow: Orange Meow can be found just past the sheep south of the castle just below the cliff with the pink unicorn and the two outofboundium ore.
