NARRATIVE
"For three long days we had wandered blind through that accursed fog, stumbling time and again from the treacherous paths of the Mistwood. Our provisions dwindled, our spirits flagged, and more than once we feared we might never emerge from that grey shroud of mist and shadow. Then, as the evening sun broke through at last, casting everything in burnished gold, we beheld it—the inn the village folk had spoken of in hushed, reverent tones.
They had told us tales of grateful druids who had shaped it from living wood itself, a sanctuary carved in thanks for some ancient restoration of nature's delicate balance. From their whispered words, we had conjured images of a modest woodland refuge, perhaps a humble cottage where weary travelers might find simple fare and a quiet corner by the hearth.
How wrong we were. What stood before us defied every expectation..."
