Collecting Mask Shards is how Hornet gets tougher.

A single shard is just a collectible, but once you gather four shards they form a complete mask and permanently add another hit point to your health bar. These shards disappear from your inventory as soon as you complete a set, so you never have to manage them; the upgrade is automatic.

There are twenty shards in Pharloom, five full masks, so diligent exploration can boost your survivability and make later fights less punishing.

1. Bone Bottom - Buy the first shard from Pebb’s shop for 300 Rosaries.



2. Far Fields (above the Seamstress) - Ride wind currents created by explosive rocks to the upper-left ledge and drop a rock to reveal the shard.



3. Far Fields (giant skull) - Enter the skull southeast of the Seamstress, complete the lava-suspended combat challenge, and use the wind current to reach it.

4. Far Fields (Sprintmaster Swift) - Beat Sprintmaster Swift’s three “Fastest in Pharloom” races to earn a shard.

5. Wormways - Dash across from Mosshome, drop into the pool, and strike the right-hand wall to find a hidden shard.

6. Shellwood - Bounce across white flowers, break the wall on the right, and clear the spike puzzle to claim the shard.

7. Deep Docks - Use Drifter’s Cloak and wall jumps from The Marrow’s bench to fight through enemies and open the shortcut lever to reach the shard.

8. Bellhart (Savage Beastfly wish) - Defeat the beastfly in Hunter’s March and bring its Horn Fragment back to the wishboard.

9. Bellhart (Hidden Hunters wish) - Track down Gurr the Outcast in Far Fields, collect the Grass Doll, and return it for a shard.

10. Bellhart (Dark Hearts wish) - Destroy scattered Void Masses and claim the shard from the wishboard.

11. Blasted Steps - Climb the southwest gauntlet with double jump and Grappling Hook, dodging spikes and rocks until you reach the top.

12. The Slab - Use the Apostate Key, activate spinning spike traps, bounce between them, and wall-jump to the shard’s ledge.

13. Weavenest Atla - Open with Needolin, use Cling Grip, break a hidden wall, and traverse collapsing platforms and lava geysers to reach the shard.

14. Mount Fay (hollow pillar) - Double-jump and wall-jump inside the tower pillar near the bench to grab this shard.

15. Mount Fay (icy center) - Smash through ceilings with Grappling Hook, climb, grapple, and pogo off enemies to reach the shard’s cocoon.

16. Choral Chambers (Cogwork Core) - After defeating Cogwork Dancers, drop left, clear a combat room, and pull a lever to reveal the shard.

17. Choral Chambers (Songclave) - Complete the Wandering Merchant wish to unlock Jubilana, then buy a shard from her for 750 Rosaries.

18. Whispering Vaults - Below the bench, grapple up behind drapes and smash the container to reveal the shard.

19. Bilewater - Midway in the central tunnel, climb wooden scaffolds and grapple up past grubs to reach the shard.

20. Wisp Thicket - East of the bench, cross poison pools with double jump, wall climbs, and grapples to the shard at the upper level.
