Report a translation problem
This mod already pretty much excludes you from being assigned as a guardian, unless everybody in your court is absolutely useless - check the list of priority above in the description. You being selected as guardian is only chosen if all of your wives/courtiers/vassals have legitimate brain damage.
As for manually assigning you're free to do that at any time, you can even manually assign children to specific people, if that's what you want.
This mod will only assign guardians to kids that don't have one, automatically, at these intervals:
Birth (15 days after birth)
age 6
small chance to check all kids in court randomly per year
If a guardian is already assigned at these intervals, nothing happens.
Or excludes your realm entirely?

I'll be starting a game tonight, if I get any crashes I can troubleshoot to see if it's this mod.
This is plug and play though, doesn't require a new game start - feel free to disable and re-enable at anytime if you want to test each mod one at at time.
