The problem may be occurring because the new version of the game prefers the Vulkan renderer over the DirectX renderer. This fixes artifacts on most systems, but on some systems it may cause crashes when a level is loaded. You can force Duck Dash to use the old renderer by passing though `-force-d3d12`.
