Table of Contents

Main Features

  • Food spoilage simulation aligned with real-time (3 days to spoil, 7 days to become inedible).
  • Realistic cooking with color transitions: Raw → Golden → Burned.
  • Improved application of status effects.
  • "Pass out" when the player has been awake for too long and just Sleep right where you are standing.
  • Probability of bleeding when attacked by boars reduced.
  • Dynamic wind affecting player activity and temperature, as well as direction and velocity.
  • Fully compatible with other survival mechanics.

Mod Systems

1. Boar Patch

This patch modifies boar attacks:

  • 5% chance to apply the BLEEDING effect to the player per attack.
  • If the probability does not trigger, the effect is automatically removed.
  • Increases combat tension and need for first aid.

2. Sleep Patch

  • Forces automatic blackout if the player stays awake for more than 3 days.
  • Creates a temporary bed and makes the player sleep via reflection (DoSleep).
  • Resets the awake time counter after sleeping.
  • Ensures realism and prevents extreme insomnia abuse.

3. Statistics Patch

Manages player vital statistics with realistic survival mechanics:

  • Maximum internal values:
    1. Calories: 3500 kcal
    2. Max Hours a player can feel Sleep: 14 hours/day
    3. Health: 1000 HP
  • Daily consumption rates:
    1. Base calories: X units/day
    2. Base fluids: X units/day
  • Realistic depletion over time:
    1. Hunger: 14 real days (normal), 7 (hard)
    2. Nutrients: 14/7 days
    3. Thirst: 5/2 days
    4. Sleep: 6/3 days
  • Activity and environment multipliers influence calorie and fluid consumption:
    1. Higher stamina reduces consumption, low stamina increases it.
    2. Wind and temperature differences also scale depletion rates.
  • Overweight / stored calories system:
    1. Excess calories above the maximum are partially stored internally.
    2. Stored calories are slowly burned over time, affecting total energy.
  • Status Effects Application:

    Condition Effect Calories < 2% Starvation Calories < 6% Malnutrition Fluids < 20% Dehydration Health < 30 Tired Health < 30 + wind > 10 km/h & cold < -5°C 30% chance of Illness

  • Automatic updates for hunger, thirst, sleep, and health.
  • Ensures realistic values are set at construction and adjusts internal statistics dynamically.
  • Works in combination with other patches (sleep, cooking, wind) for an immersive survival experience.

4. Spoiling Patch

  • Controls food spoilage (3 days to spoil, 6-7 days to be uneatable).
  • Prevents foods from rotting too fast and improves storage strategy.

5. Cooking Patch

  • Adjusts cooking and burning times for realism:
    1. Cooking: 8 real minutes (~2h30m in-game)
    2. Burning: 3 real minutes (~45 min in-game)
  • Changes food color during cooking: Raw → Golden → Burned
  • Manages state transitions and private OnCooked calls.
  • Interacts with Spoiling system to synchronize spoilage with cooking.

6. Dynamic Wind

  • Dynamic wind with changes in speed and direction throughout the day (up to 5 times a day).
  • Wind now blows in many directions (not only south like vanilla).
  • Wind speed can reach up to 90 km/h.
  • Directly affects player statistics (GetEnvironmentMultiplier).

7. Additional QoL Features

  • Improved Stacks System:
    1. Players can carry up to 8 units of small resources (sticks, rocks, palm leaves, etc.).
  • Adjusted Day/Night Cycle:
    1. 1 in-game minute ≈ 3.5 real seconds
    2. Speeds up time, making days feel longer and survival more realistic.
    3. Influences sleep patterns, food spoilage, and daily planning.
  • Enhanced Sleep and Save Mechanics:
    1. Players can sleep and save in unconventional places, including rafts.
    2. Daytime sleep is possible.
  • Increased Animal Speeds:
    1. Crabs, snakes, boars, and giant boars move faster.
    2. Raises hunting challenge and requires better strategy.

Usage Notes

This mod may work in MultiPlayer, but it's not fully supported. If both players have the mod and same options, it should work mostly. However, it is not expected to work 100% in Multiplayer (Coop).
