The black screen solution

I'm using linux mint 22.1, and i have the same issue .when you arrive at the webcam detection part, and you see your webcam name detected but you see only a black screen, just click continue and wait for few minutes.
the game will try to connect to your webcam and it will work somehow.
just make sure you don't have any program using your webcam or try to turn off your webcam and let it turn it on.
This guide is made for people who has this problem or other related to it.
If you have any solution that worked for you like creating a virtual camera(mine wasn't detected), feel free to share it.

I need help I set up a Virtual Camera too and it still wont connect, im stuck at blinking detection forever, Im trying to record a Video and no matter what ive done so far I still cant get past the blinking detection, whether I use OBS Virtual Camera, or if I use it normally. please help me this is driving me NUTS

when i was streaming the game on twitch i had to go into my setting and set the camera to be able to stream to everything for it to work cause i had the same exact issue if you go to camera and click on the camera that you're using and go down to camera access click the on for everything and it worked once i tried it hope this helps
