Notes

Some fish seem to only be attainable if you have a high enough upgraded fishing rod.
For example: You will not see the Shining Fish in Autumn if you do not have the Ultimate Fishing Rod.
Guardian Fish will have a fish icon when it hooks, so if you are hunting for Guardians you can skip any normal "!"
Treasures, Medals, and Recyclables seem to have a little diamonds/sparkle icons when it hooks
Hunting for insects, some rare ones will require you to WALK to catch them, so if you can tell it's something new, just assume and walk slowly toward it!

Finally caught the missing firefly.
Brown firefly - summer, nighttime, cloudy weather. Caught on the upper section by Finley (where you jump across from the Mountains entrance).
