Oguri cap was born in Hokkaido, the heart of horse breeding. The farm he was bred at was the Inada Farm that is located in Shizunai. Starting from the countryside he was an underdog but rose to be a member of the "Heisei Big Three," along side Super Creek and Inari One. The way he saved energy until the final stretch is was made him such a good race horse. The way he exploded past his rivals in the most dramatic way. His big wins, like the Yasuda Kinen and Arima Kinen, proved his talent, but what really set him apart was the way he connected with people, he was a symbol of determination and hope.

He was known to be calm and gentle but stubborn at times
