Well I don;t have Rookie rigged up yet so untill i get my programs back in working order I can't make any new models. Though I can still reuse models on stuff that I already made before.

i dont know how to make mods.... and i would be very bad at it....

TBH, smoothing is a giant pain in the neck. It destroys a model T_T
I see what you mean. I made sure that in 3DS Max the smoothing properties was set to max. Not sure if I can go any further than that though.
