Simple Velvet Crafting

Tired of hunting for spiders just to craft Velvet? This is especially tedious on your second or third character. This simple quality-of-life mod makes Velvet much more accessible.

It replaces the original crafting recipe, allowing you to use common Silk instead of rare Spider's Silk.



Recipe Change
  • Old Recipe: 2 x Spider's Silk → Velvet
  • New Recipe: 4 x Silk → Velvet



Important Notes
  • This mod directly alters the Velvet recipe. If a future game update changes Velvet's properties, this mod may need an update to be compatible.
  • Safe to Disable: If you suspect this mod is causing a crash, it can be safely removed. To do so, find your save file, open the general.json file, and remove this mod's ID from the list.

I am still trying to keep this somewhat 'realistic', and same time balanced. I would be glad to make it so you can make Velvet out of both actually, but out of 2 spider slik or 4 silk, though, it might require me to change bigger things I've not played with yet.
I can see this being somewhat fit with some high level in alchemy. I will see game files and if this fits into a simple mod still.
