Death has become commonplace, and war is your daily work. In this world, you are just a part of a giant mechanism, just a gear of war. And in order for this nightmare to end, you need to get 100% of the achievements.

Complete Story Campaign

14 years have passed since E-Day, humanity continues to suffocate in the clutches of the Locusts, desperately fighting for its survival. In war, all means are good and for victory anything that can bring it even an inch closer is used. Become part of the Delta squad and you will have to go through a difficult path through fire, dungeons, the corpses of your comrades and hordes of enemies, and even do the unthinkable to go to hell and back - anything to give hope that this war is not yet lost. But is your enemy as simple as it seems?

Many achievements are story-related and unlock as you progress, but at the same time you will be required to complete all acts of the game on the highest possible difficulty, as well as complete all acts of the game in co-op mode.

Find collectibles

There aren't too many collectibles in the game, so this section can't be called difficult. You need to collect 33 COG tags, and even if you missed one of them, fortunately you can easily collect them by selecting the right act and chapter. Picking up a collectible automatically saves the game, so you don't need to get to the nearest checkpoint or finish the chapter in order to count them towards your progression.

Multiplayer battlegrounds.

Story Campaign was just a kind of training ground, the real war unfolds here. The Gears of War series has always been famous for some of the most time-consuming and grindy achievements.
Be prepared to spend a significant amount of time to unlock them all: you need to win matches, kill real players by the thousands, gain profile levels, play in co-op mode, and so on. Luckily, the game supports split-screen play on one device, so this can make it a little easier to get some achievements, especially if you play with a partner.
