The first time I played Back 4 Blood, I thought I’d crush it. Ten minutes in, I was bleeding out, ammo gone, and my squad screaming in panic as a Tallboy smashed through a doorway. That’s when I realized: this game isn’t here to make you feel safe. It’s here to push you to the edge — and that’s exactly why I keep coming back.

Cards Are Your Lifeline

Ignore cards, and you’ll regret it. They define your playstyle and make every run feel unique.

Start with stamina, ammo, and health boosts.
Find your role: healer, tank, or DPS.
Experiment — half the fun is finding your perfect deck.

A good card setup will save you more than any rare gun ever will.

Respect the Ridden

Every special enemy in this game exists to ruin your plans. Learn their sounds, weaknesses, and kill order.

Tallboys: Drop them fast or get crushed.
Stingers: Snipers of chaos. Kill them first.
Reekers: Explode in your face. Keep your distance.
Hags: If you see one, run. Seriously.

Knowing what you’re up against is survival 101.

Teamwork or Death

Back 4 Blood punishes lone wolves. Stick with your team, or you won’t make it.

Ping everything. Ammo, enemies, danger.
Share meds and gear. You’ll need each other.
Save grenades and pipe bombs for panic moments.
Don’t rush ahead. That’s how wipes happen.

This game shines when you work together. A clutch revive at 1HP will feel better than any solo highlight.

Embrace the Chaos

There’s nothing like stumbling into a safe room with no ammo, a broken gun, and a bleeding team — and somehow making it out alive. Every run is a story. Every failure teaches you something new.

The chaos, the laughter, the near-death moments — that’s why I keep playing.
