Ever seen, looked or received a random Steam DM from a friend or someone out of the blue claiming to "redeem a free Steam Gift Card" or random malicious links being sent left and right

Cutting back to the random Steam DM scenario, I'd like you to put a mental image in your head

You've grinded on Mann Vs. Machine for hours on end or you're just playing games at random, then you get a really rare item such as a Golden Frying Pan or something of higher value and rarity, then suddenly a friend DM's you claiming they know Elon Musk's Secrets or claiming they sent and I quote "I falsely reported your Steam account" or they work with Steam Support to then claim your account has been heavily moderated.

What do you do in that scenario?

a) keep talking to them and get fondongled badly

b) block communication and report the account

c) be stupid and get hacked
