I don't care about your dead wife, even if she's alive. Hamut deserves to have his eyeballs gouged out for *literally* constantly doing a double-take on *literally* every single ally or neutral or enemy to check if it's somehow Lena. Mercifully, I have only chosen to gag him.

Put bluntly: UWE adds dialogue for Hamut & Lena. Some of this has ZERO COOLDOWN and is triggered ANY TIME HAMUT SEES AN ALLIED, NEUTRAL, OR ENEMY SQUAD. This mod removes 4 dialogue trees that have these lines, freeing Hamut up as a real usable character again.

This is beyond moronic. The FCS explicitly warns against this practice.

But this is a description about the fix, not my gripes with UWE. Hamut's Lena dialogues are now completely removed! I don't know enough about the FCS (and specifically dialogue triggers) to identify what conditions should be set for this to work as intended, and I don't care.

This mod does NOT remove the OTHER dialogue for Hamut added by UWE, which seemingly plays at a much more tasteful pace, although I really can't remember how often it plays. If it's as annoying as Hamut (again, LITERALLY, to the point where he would WALK AWAY FROM ASSIGNED JOBS) constantly saying: ..., I'll probably just mute Hamut entirely. Or just put him and his wife in the peeler.

Oh god, thank you so much. Hamut broke my run SO HARD. I couldn't get him to do anything in the home I'd purchased in town, and I was using the free recruits to get a small food farm started. But his dialogue KEPT INTERRUPTING HIM!!!

So I decided to make the long and dangerous trek to the desert to hopefully find Lena, JUST to get him to shut up. But can you guess what? LENA DOES THE SAME THING. EVEN WHEN THEY'RE TOGETHER.

THEY WILL CONSTANTLY SWAP BETWEEN RUNNING UP TO STRANGERS BEMOANING THE LOSS OF THEIR PARTNER, AND THEN RUN UP TO EACH OTHER AND OPEN A FRIGGIN' DIALOGUE MENU THAT I HAVE TO INTERACT WITH. MULTIPLE TIMES. INFINITELY.

AND BETTER YET, MY MAIN CHARACTER ALSO GOT BROKEN DUE TO THEM. EVERY FEW SECONDS HE WILL STOP WHATEVER HE'S DOING TO RUN UP TO HAMUT AND 'Make an announcement'.

My tiny crew had THREE totally broken characters I could do NOTHING with.

Did they not playtest these two AT ALL????

thank you for making this mod. those 2 become even worse, like way worse, once they meet each other. At some point I decided to get rid of hamut which then sadly turned lena into the next hamut with similar dialogue

If you want to solve the problem without removing the dialogues entirely, you can adjust how often they go off in the options to the right of the FCS dialogue windows, as low as [ONCE_ONLY]. You can also adjust the chance of these lines going off there, though that's a little tedious.
