Exordium to Conflict
Salutations. In this section you will find a precise list of the boons to be granted upon your confidantes, ailments to be inflicted upon the scourges of this world, and other withheld particulars.

Status Effects
Strength - Increases Attack by 50%.
Sturdy - Increases Defense by 50%.
Clever - Increases Esprit* by 50%.
Hasty - Increases Agility by 50%.

*Esprit is supposed to affect the damage of competences and damage received from competences, many competences scale off Attack however, so this stat is mostly useless.

Lethargic - Decreases Agility by 30%.
Frail - Decreases Defense by 20%.
Poisoned - Target is damaged for 7%* of Max HP.
Palsied - Cannot act and action bar is paused.
Asleep - Cannot act and action bar is paused.
Muteness - Prevents usage of competences.
Furious - Ignores commands, attack upon turn. Attack +30%, Defense -30%.
Confused - Ignores commands and attacks allies upon turn.
Madness - Ignores commands and allies upon turn. Defense is halved.

*Poison is less effective if the target has more than 300 HP, which only deals 3% of Max HP.

Unique Status Effects
Impure - Target gains a random elemental weakness.
Poisoned (II) - Target is damaged for 14% of Max HP.
Vilified - Prevents usage of competences.
Vilified (II) - Prevents usage of competences and objects.
Defamed - One 'secret' target will receives guaranteed critical hits for several actions, after a certain amount of time passes, their total damage will be distributed back towards the party.

Serious - Increases Attack by 250% and Agility by 300%. Increases idle animation speed.

Regeneration - Heals 4% of Max HP per turn.

Elemental Modifiers
Most enemies are assigned a type (e.g. Specter, Burnt, Beasts) that have a pair of elemental resistance/weaknesses. Damage inflicted by the Batter's elemental competences and objects is either decreased or increased by 50%, respectively.

Critical Hits
The base critical chance for all party members is 15%.
An incoming critical hit charges the action bar twice as fast.
Enemies cannot crit twice in a row (with unique exceptions).
Critical hits have several effects on both actions and objects:
  • Critical attacks, competences and elemental objects do 150% more damage.
  • Critical defend restores 25 CC and reduces damage to a quarter of its original value.
  • Critical Wide Angle or Eye displays enemy HP value in addition to the visual health bar.
  • Critical Joker revives target with Max HP.
  • Critical flee guarantees escape.

Miscellaneous
  • Defend reduces damage to half of its original value and restores 10 CC.
  • Both party attacks and enemy actions have a variance of -/+ 5% which is applied to final damage of an attack. Some competences do not have this variance.
  • The chance to flee an encounter is 75%.

Zone 1
In Damien, there is a chest containing a Joker behind a building, near stairs leading to the mines.

Within the mines, at the bottom of the ladder and at the end of the western corridors, an unlit lamp can be interacted with to open a hidden door on the left.

After the barn is purified, a barrier by the first save point in the western side of the mines will have lowered, giving access to a dark room with chests containing one of each zodiac orb.

In Shachihata, the elevator has two hidden floors; the numbers are consistently stated by an Elsen in the lower right room in lobby. 87666 and (0)2584. These lead to the Secret Service and Lost Service floors and contain a zodiac orb and items, respectively.

Zone 2
After the pedalo is summoned from the shopping mall to the amusement park, it can be ridden out of the map to enter a new area. A hidden island in the area contains a Min-Woo tunic.

In the amusement park, after gaining access to the roller coaster, the statue of Zacharie can be pushed to gain a Photo of Zacharie, this can be presented to the Elsen on the east room, who will allow you to enter his office, which contains chests with one of each zodiac orb.

In the Residential area, two of the three codes for the bunkers can be learned from the Elsen during the timed sequence. Furthermore, if all Burnt are purified, a Sunday will be obtained.

Zone 3

In Area 3, the minigame "Game of the Mortal Fall" must be beaten to progress, if revisited, the game can be replayed under the title "Game of the Perilous Fall" with a tighter time limit. Completing the minigame successfully rewards one of each zodiac orb in chests by the furnace.

In Area 4, a code must be entered on the controller to progress past a barrier. The intended method to solve the puzzle is to bring an object, the music box, to Zacharie, who reveals the solution. However, if the code is known beforehand, the music box can be saved and used during Chapter 3 of The Room for a hidden chest that contains a Perfect Symbol.

After Zone 3 is purified, the West dormitories in Area 1 can be revisited, three Jokers can be found in the first room by the 2nd bed.

The Elsen in Chapter 3 of The Room give unique equipment if their questions are answered correctly. You have one attempt to answer their questions.

  • In the original OFF, Secretaries' competences were named after mathematical terminologies, several of which could inflict multiple negative status effects at once.

  • The order in which competences can be used, as well as some of the effects has changed.

  • Blinded (status effect from the original OFF that would decrease accuracy of attacks) has been replaced with Lethargic.

  • The level cap in the original is Lv. 50, with the final competences for the party attained at Lv. 45. In the remaster, the cap is raised to Lv. 100, with the final competences attained by Lv. 22-24. Stats will not increase on level up beyond Lv. 30. This requires an excessive amount of grinding in Purified Zones.
