Basics of (Dark) Survival
Lets start with some Basic Things, dont worry; We will not talk about Controls here (Go to the Setting Menu for those)

1 - The Ink Demon is not all seeing, as long as you stay out of view (Be it far away enough or behind a Wall) he will never chase you. He will start chasing you if you collect all Items on a Floor, Tips on how to do this the best will be brought up later.

2 - Your Character can survive 3 Hits without dying from Enemies, Ink Demons dont count (Robot Bosses dont OneHit you). A Fourth Hit is Game over, and you can only Heal so many times on a Floor, so be carefull with that.

and 3 - Use Gent Sticks in the Right Ways, You cant drop many of them, but you also cant carry unlimited of those. The Max Count of Gent Sticks at a time is 25, you cant ever have more then those, and if you do try: They will just vanish. You dont have to use them, but it will make your expedition alot easyer when you have Markers across the Floors.

We will now go over each Point and explain to you how you can be better in those Points!
Here comes the Inky Boy
Hes back, Hes there, and everywhere, who you gonna call?
BEND-BUSTERS.......terrible random joke sorry
In the First Point we will talk about the Ink Demon and his.. strange ae behavior.

Ink Demon Roaming
There is no science here, he just walks where the [bep] he wants to go. Can be somewhere completely far away, Can be just next Room besides, sometimes even the SAME DARN ROOM HE JUST LEFT AND WHERE YOU ARE JUST IN. ahem.
The Best way you can predict where the Demon is 2 things..
1 - The Way he moves can show you where he will go, for example: If he leans more on the right side of the Wall; Its possible he will take a Direction to the Right Room. It's.. hard to explain, you need to pay attention to how the Demon Moves to get it. If you seen a AI Pathfinding once you may see it..
2 - The Shake of his Stomps is a good indicator to know if hes near or not. If you can figure out where the Stomps are likely to come; You may have a better chances at Reacting to Hide and all, or at the very least: Know where he is currently. Be it a Room near where you are, or even on another Segment that isnt connected with the current one.
Sure, sometimes Segments will connect with each other and create an Alternative Path back to the Elevator. But hey; That only makes returning easyer! Just be sure to mark them with Gent Sticks so you arent confused..
Fighting and Flighting
is flighting even a word? i dont know- wait we are live? uh-
In this Point we will talk about Fighting and Flighting, to know when to Run and when to Fight.

Fighting
The Basics you should already be aware; You can Attack and Block.

Attacking does Damage (duh) to Enemies and Objects (and cutouts), but it Drains a little Stamina.
Blocking blocks (duh) incomming Damage, and is the safest way to deal with encounters, it also drains some Stamina.

Now you may be wondering: Sam, how do I become a Pro in Fighting?
The answer is: There is not really one. Most Enemies like Lost Ones and Butcher Gang Members just randomly decide if they will hit you immeadently, or get stunned by your Attack. Its a Gamble if you can kill the Enemy before it attack or not.
The only real tip I can give is to keep a distance and try to hit while it runs at you, You can also attempt to outsmart Lost Ones when they leap by Walking/Running away and then hitting them. Each Weapon you collect is stronger then the last, so its good to use newer ones to have a better Chance.

now to
Flighting
Sometimes being a Coward is a Smarter Action then dying stupidly, But sometimes a little Risk is also fine.
For example: You face off multiple Enemies at once, there Blocking and Attacking is alot harder, since you cant attack without being hit. I would recommend trying to get a Distance so one of the Enemies goes after you while the other still is in its Attack, and then bash them one by one.
Alternatively you can also just run pass them or away to a Miracle Station. You need to be also carefull of your Stamina; There is no Shame for a tactical Retreat!
Also if you feel comftable enough in your Navigation sense; You can Run to get some distance from the Ink Demon between Rooms. Just be sure there is a Soup Station/Miracle Station nearby, last thing you need is being Stuck in a Room with the Ink Demon approaching without a Place to Hide, or the Stamina to Run.
Tips and Tricks
Now we come to actual Tips and Tricks to do! Some of these may be too Cheesy (Make the Game too easy) or Dont really work with your Playstyle, which is why its always good to experiment. (Difficulty is for everyone to choose)

Nearest Item as Last
As if the Title isnt clear enough; Try leave the Nearest Item to the Elevator Last. You can do that by marking the Segment from the Elevator with Gent Sticks (2 to stick out), or if you arent fully sure yet: Leave a Stick near the Item you found. Plan already how you gonna do this, to avoid being cornered and for the Fastest Path possible.
Each Room the Item Spawns in can either be a LifeSaver, or a Death Trap. Always check the Rooms and come up with a Route you wanna take, or look for another Item you could easyer escape with.

Gent Sticks as Markers
This is a personal Trick of mine, but you are allowed to use them however you want.
I mark every Segment I enter with a Gent Stick, leaving it near the Elevator to set Corridor. I leave 2 Gent Sticks if there is the nearest Item, and I leave a Gent Stick at a Item as a reminder that it may be the nearest Item.
Its also not a Bad idea to leave a Gent Stick in a Split Room from the Direction where you came from, sometimes its hard to keep track where you are (Espacially if set Rooms repeat like Twice behind each other), and of course put down some to Plan your Escape Route incase the Item is further away then expected.
If you collect them back or not is your Choice, see what works and not.
